Description
Introduction, "What is this?":
The other afternoon, me and one of my friends wanted to play a Yu-Gi-Oh draft. Sadly, though there were some Yu-Gi-Oh booster box workshop mods, there wasn't a mod out there that let you build/generate booster packs at the table. So, after some deliberation, I decided to make a workshop mod to do exactly that.

FEATURES
  • Four 2-Player mats with 3 states for OG Yu-Gi-Oh, Pendulum, and Link formats with snap points.
  • All of my current complete booster box sets. If load times are slow, delete them from the table and subscribe separately.
  • Semi-automatic BOOSTER pack making script.
  • Seperate semi-automatic BATTLE/MEGA/PROMO/ETC. pack making script.
  • Ready setup (coins, dice, LP Trackers, tokens, calculator, rulebooks, tablets) for basic dueling needs.
  • Timers and large tablet for bracket for competitive/tournament settings.
  • Custom PDF for Draft/Sealed rules AND how to use the two generators.
  • Hidden zones for deck building by each player's zone.
  • Generic booster wrappers for building your own booster packs.

Questions and Problems:

How do I use this?
Though there is a more detailed set of instructions in the PDF, the setup is rather simple and partially scripted. First decide if you are making a normal booster pack (odds based, on the right of board) or a BATTLE/MEGA/PROMO/ETC. pack (set amount of rarity per pack). If you are using one of my pre-made Booster Boxes or Booster Packs then simply place the contents in the corresponding rarity pack bags and place an empty booster pack wrapper into the gray bag. Make sure rarities not in use still have a placeholder DECK (2+ stacked cards) in them. Then, simply hit the create button and it will make your booster pack(s)!

When you want to make a different booster pack with different contents, simply reset the bags (right-click bag > reset) and replace the contents!

You can find my pre-made booster boxes here in this collection:

What is a draft? How is it different from a sealed draft?
A draft is a game format where you are given booster packs and need to build a deck from the cards you take.

In a normal draft game, players are given 10 booster packs. You start by opening 1 booster pack, picking a card from the pack, and then passing the rest of the cards to the player on your right. You do this until you can't pass any more cards and then you open your next booster pack and repeat.

A sealed draft is much simpler. You are given 10 booster packs, you open them all, and then you make your deck.

Deck building rules and play rules can be found in the notebook in game.

I feel like I'm not getting X card ever or I am getting X card too much. What odds did you use?
I used the modern formats booster pack odds. This means out of the nine cards you will draw 7 commons, 1 rare, and 1 SR/UR/SSR. The odds for an UR card are 1:6 and the odds for a SSR card are 1:12. Though this was not the standard for original Yu-Gi-Oh booster packs, I feel like it helps balance the game a little.

There are a lot of fusion cards. Where are the polymerization cards?
Out of the original 11 sets of booster boxes, only "Legend of Blue-Eyes White Dragon" has "Polymerization" in it. Because of this, I would strongly suggest mixing "Legend of Blue-Eyes White Dragon" packs when drafting, adding Polymerization to the SR deck, or agree on the addition of a chosen amount of Polymerization's.

Objects are just floating off the side of the table:
The tray mod I am using sometimes loads incorrectly. Simply reload the board to fix the issue.

I tried to pull the empty pack from the box, and it disappeared!
The booster packs are set up to disappear once their contents = 0. If you double-click or click and drag the empty booster pack too fast, it sometimes will activate the script and destruct() the booster pack.

I ran the script, but I ran into an error:
If you run into an error, normally involving something along the lines of "nil value referenced" you will need to reload the game board. This is the best option, but you should then proceed to check the following things:
  • Keep the cards their original size for pack making.
  • Make sure there is nothing in the hidden area. The script relies on moving objects around on the table and dealing cards. if there is something in the way or the cards stack on top of each other in the wrong way it will cause an error.
  • Make sure all the infinite bags have something in them.
  • Make sure that the SSR pack always has cards in it , even if you don't have SSR in your booster box. I had an issue with the code where something always needed to be drawn from the bag or it would mess up. There are two options in this case:
    1. Press the "SSR Pack?" button and place the "Place Holder" deck into the bag. These cards will not be drafted if you have toggled off the SSR Pack using the mentioned button.
    2. Place the "Wild Card" deck into the SSR pack. As a house rule, whenever a player chooses a "Wild Card" from the booster pack, they may look through the "FULL" pack, choose a card. and then copy that card into their pool.
  • Make sure the SSR bag has at least two cards in it. This is another scripting issue. If the booster box has only one SSR card in it, simply duplicate the card and form a deck before adding it to the infinite bag.
  • Make sure the booster packs are landing in the purple bag. This bag is not hidden and should be visible. If the packs aren't landing in the bag, move it a little below where the packs are dropped.
  • Make sure you haven't deleted the script zone inside the hidden zone.
  • If all else fails to fail please leave a comment or question and I will try to help.

This is amazing. How long did this take to put together?

I want to bring the booster maker to my yugioh rpg table I'm working on, I moved the packs and the booster bags, it works properly everytime except for some reason the script crashes when a SSR card is put into a pack, at the very moment it starts cleaning up the decks it stucks on the SSR deck which is not removed and a courtine error is displayed.

Do you know how can I fix it?

I am online atm and will be for awhile. If you have time we can jump in a lobby together so I can show you how to set it up. I sent you a friend request to do so.

I had spawned one of your draft boxes, taken the packs out of said box, each box contains like 7 items. Opening said packs, tossing the commons into the common stack, rares into the rares, ect... till I finish with the secret rares. Toss 1 the empty pack into the pack art work bag. Pressing the make pack button (this is all done at the stage right station). The chat will say 1 pack pending, (it will add a 1 to the count every time you press it). but never generate any packs as they should populate in the purple bag...?

As for the 2nd part, the full card list is for browsing purposes. It does not need to go anywhere.

As for the 1st part tho, I have not bumped into this error. Normally the script just pops up "Nil value referenced". What are you doing exactly during setup?

I'm not to sure how this works... I am able to spawn the pre made packs\boxes of cards. Then after tossing the required packs into their spots and clicking generate pack it just says X amount of packs waiting to be made... what am I missing? As well where on earth is the Full Card List suppose to go?
