Kindergarten weapons

Description
All weapons are and look like toys and have 0 power. In this context, traps and turrets are not weapons. Weapon textures/descriptions/sounds have been altered or replaced to make them resemble toys. Some weapons can still start fires and can still explode when burning.

This requires a completely different style of playing RimWorld as only melee fighting has effect. Turrets are not modified so there is at least a little challenge when attacking enemy bases. Decide for yourself if you want to use them, just like traps, depending on how difficult you want the game to be.

Compatibilty and quality disclaimer

This mod was made quickly, for fun. It overrides vanilla weapons. It works fine, but no effort was made to ensure compatibility. Due to it's simplicity it shouldn't be able to do any harm to saves. As long as other mods used do not patch or depend on the vanilla weapons and/or mechanoid system there should be no problems.

It will probably throw some errors after loading without the mod, but no damage should be done.

great thanks, it was either this or try and find a "no raid" events mod that doesnt break saves.

@leaningoakranch I should think so. You're not removing anything from the game. Even the other way around shouldn't cause real issues.

@The Vilage Guy .y question is about whether this is safe to remove from saves? Lets say I want to build a colony up to a certain point before I start letting raiders come in with guns later to help ease into a colony build a little easier without having to wory about getting any of my colonists killed during the first couple of raid events.

@SnoweySix This mod https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2514935266&searchtext=no+weapons is updated for all versions of the game will let you choose between no weapons at all, only ranged, or only melee. Completely removes them from the game. So if you want to play Vanilla without any of the DLC content...

Good day, is there a way just to only enable primitive weapons like bows, swords, clubs and so on ?
