Asian Koel

The Asian Koel is native to the Indian Subcontinent, China, and South East Asia. They are a part of a family of cuckoo birds and makes the sound: 'kooh... kooh...', which some may find annoying or pleasant.

12 May 2016, Singapore.
A Koel bird was sitting in his home on the tree in a quiet neighbourhood. He started singing his iconic song. Meanwhile, a human man who happened to walk past had found this annoying and told the bird to 'shut up'. The Koel bird ignored the man and kept singing. The man have had enough and took out his rifle and shot dead the Koel right there and then. This angered the Koel community and was considered by many to be the cause of the revolution.

General Kooel has been chosen to lead the revolution. Her brother was also shot dead 2 years ago by humans. A few months back, one of her eggs fell off her nest and was stampeded by human kids who were playing. There was nothing she could do but watch in horror. However, this was the last straw. The Koel Birds have finally risen against their human colonists. They will take back their land and Earth from them. General Kooel vows that she will not stop fighting until all humans are exterminated.
