Description

NOTE: If you're looking for a more flexible camera tool, try Advanced Camera. Although it doesn't have a dolly zoom/automatic FOV adjustment it should do well for static camera placements.

I created a camera capable of reproducing the famous Dolly Zoom effect popularized by movies such as Jaws (1975) and Vertigo (1958). The apparent focal width can be tweaked via the Context Menu or the tool's control panel. The addon is also available on GitHub.[github.com]

Sorry for not including much of a tutorial, I threw this together in one morning. You've got to right click with the tool on what you want it to focus on and find some method of moving the camera. What I did was I made a cart on wheels and I attached the camera to it. I'm sure there are other addons out there, too, for making this happen.

Interesting, I wasn't aware of that. Saved games aren't something I've used since Garry's Mod 11.

Cool addon, but it has a major problem.

It brakes every normal cameras that were placed in saved scenes upon loading them up. It makes them unusable, which is a deal breaker for me.
