Campaign Line of Sight Reworked (UPDATED for S&F)

Description
Introduction
I wasn't particularly happy with how campaign line of sight (LOS) is handled in the vanilla game. This mod makes a settlement's LOS more dependent on settlement tier, removes the effects of difficulty on LOS, and adds some nuance to the LOS of characters based on stance and character types. It also tends to give you significantly more LOS than in vanilla.

Mod Features
Settlements
  • Every upgrade of the main settlement building grants that settlement an extra 50% LOS, up to 250% for tier V settlements.
  • Reduced LOS for public order lower than -25. Vanilla public order effects on LOS have been removed.
  • A settlement under siege has it's LOS reduced all the way to base level, the lowest it can possibly be.
  • Only the settlement itself is affected, not the characters in the region/province.
Characters
  • Difficulty no longer affect LOS.
  • Public order no longer affects the LOS of local characters.
  • Heroes have a LOS similar to vanilla.
  • Lords have a considerably larger LOS. I reasoned that a lord is usually leading an army, not just a character travelling alone as a hero might be. Thus he would have many scouts to inform him about his surroundings. It's also just personal preference from a gameplay perspective.
  • Army stances affect LOS, with a buff to encampment stances and a debuff to forced march. Tunnelling stances reduce the LOS to base level, like with besieged settlements. After all, it's hard to know what's happening on the surface when you're underground.
Future plans (suggestions welcome)
  • Rebalance the buffs from various traits, skills, items and followers in the game. Because of the way bonuses to LOS stack (additively rather than multiplicatively), some effects are ridiculously small. You can sometimes see bonuses of 3% and 5%, but you need at least 10% to be even barely noticeable.
  • Add some bonuses to other buildings. Right now, only the Dwarf Ranger Barracks boost LOS in a province, and only the characters. I might change that to only the local settlements, and add similar effects for certain buildings of other races.
  • Only hypothetical for now, but I would like to look into the possibility of having certain units give LOS bonuses to it's army. Perhaps a similar approach to Fast Units - Fast Armies.

Compatibility
Compatible
Incompatible
  • Restored Line of Sight (Pre-Patch for Agents+Lords) and No Line of Sight Penalty: These two mods are identical and would overwrite my changes for lords and heroes. You can use one of them with my mod, but heroes and especially lords would get rather ridiculous bonuses to LOS. I recommend you do not use this alongside my mod.
  • Possibly mods that change campaign LOS or do something with public order, but it would depend on the individual mod. Don't hesitate to ask.
  • Potentially some mods that puts in completely new main settlement buildings.

Current Issues
  • When a settlement is besieged, but there is an army parked inside it, that army keeps all its LOS. Only the LOS of the settlement is affected by the siege. I haven't yet found a way around this, other than simply removing all LOS bonuses from an army when it's inside a settlement.
  • All buffs and debuffs to LOS only take affect either when you press end turn or when the turn times are complete. Not really an issue, this is vanilla behaviour, and quite sensible.
  • Occasionally, LOS bonuses seem to disappear during turn times. No clue why.

@Flying Fox Very interesting mod I would like to see it in Total War: Warhammer 3

Thx you for this great mod ! A little suggestion for your "future plans" : Dont do it. ^^ This will cause too many compatibility issues. The more accurate/specific/compatible a mod is, the better.

Updated to work with the herdstones.

Currently not playing with this mod, so I don't know if it's compatible with the upgrade. As far as I know everything should work as always, but I will check later. My effects wont be there for the herdstone buildings, but I think that's for the best.

Hey, thanks for the great work. I have a small problem however, I use https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2333671842
due to needing to remove the stupid PO balancing act CA introduced in the patch prior to Rakarth, but it also modifies LOS. I doubt your mod and that one are compatible and I'd really like to use both.

Quick little update. I tried a new method to determine all the main settlement buildings. It turned out that I missed the Oak of Ages, so that will now also gain LOS buffs. I also found I had put LOS buffs on a building I didn't intend to, so removed that. Also removed some buffs on buildings that no longer exist in the game.

Updated. Should work for whatever new main settlement buildings have been added in the meanwhile. But I counted 2337 of them, so I'll need your help to fand any bugs or unintended behaviour. So if you see anything that doesn't seem right, let me know.

I've also removed the reduction in LOS from very low public order. Don't think that adds much to the game.

No internal compatibility for now with the mods striked through in the description. That takes additional work, that I might not do. If you want to make a patch yourself, let me know so we're not both doing the work.

Would love to see this get an update to include stuff that's new to this patch, this mod rules.

This needs an update, without it the LoS system is pretty much meh.

With this mod activated I dont get the new bonuses of public order that CA implemented.
