Now this is a persona of an alternate Julius Caesar, if he survived the assassination:

Civ VI is basically Alternate History, so this is a welcome addition as it was!

This is unplayable at the elite level. I've played it a few times and its usually all over by the 20th move. Within 5 to 7 moves your neighbour (who already has the usual 3 cities) attacks your one Worrier unit with at least 6 Worrier units. Half of them already have promotions so that 3 or 4 blows against your city means its all over before you even get a chance to build a Slinger or another worrier. I mean if there's just no chance of progressing past the 20th move whats the point. Hopeless!

Perhaps it would be possible to keep this mod, but use Caesar's official portrait and voice? Civ's leader animations are very good and add a lot of character, but mechanically his ability is very lacklustre. I prefer this mod's effects.

When a unit sux, see it as a balance lol. If the civ + leader are well made, they are not op.

On one hand, I love the leader ability and think it would be fun to play with, but on the other hand it doesn't feel like it would play well with Rome since by the time you get to conquer developed cities with at least two districts the Legion would likely already be obsolete. That being said, I definitely see myself having loads of fun with this in a game ending in the classical era.
