Federation House 3

This Federation home with Queen Anne Revival influences, is based on ‘Te Roma’, which was built in 1905 at 52 Woolwich Road, Hunters Hill (Sydney). At that time it incorporated a doctors waiting and consulting rooms on the Woolwich Road side (now the front of the house), and the front of the house faced the Lane Cove River (now the back of the house, so I guess the original block must have been subdivided). During WWII it was converted into flats, but it has since been restored to a single residence, and in the last decade has undergone an impeccable restoration and expansion.

Until recently it was home to a former senior politician, who subsequently became Australian Ambassador to the US.
