Description
Adds a second tier to the Synthetic Age ascension which provides additional traits and modification points for your machine empire (any empire with Synthetic Age ascension unlocked), similar to how Evolutionary Mastery works.

Additional Features
Species Unification: Machine and Robot species can use a Policy to convert foreign machine and robot units to the empires blueprint. (Each year, every planet with pops of a foreign machine or robot species gets some of those pops converted.)

Robot Mastery: Robot species (flesh-ies who went through the Flesh Is Weak ascension) can now further their perfection through synthetic mastery and gain access to both Synthetic Age perks, they also gain technology for assembly plant upgrades and mega warform assault troops, and updates to the Harmony and Adaptablity traditions to bring them inline with robotic bodies (who needs food production and increased lifespan?).

Conflicts: Much of the Robot Mastery updates above come at the cost of changes to vanilla files. I hate doing this, but don't believe there is another way. If you use another mod which also modifies these files, there may be conflicts. I use a ton of mods and have not seen a problem, please let me know if you do and I will see what I can do to fix the problem.

Just want to chime in, this does work on the current version with standard, non-MA dlc, machine empires though you might have some issues with the base synthetic age ascension perk if you're using extra tradition tree slots - The perk has a check for remaining tradition slots, but this check is based on the vanilla amount and is seemingly hardcoded. As long as you take the perk before picking tree 6 you'll be fine.

This mod causes robot assembly plants to not be upgradable

After you finish synthetics, you get the option to take this ascension perk, and from there it works as before - you get species trait points, picks, and new traits. I have left the assimilation of robot species in for now until I have more experience with the new assimilation.

@Jimmy thanks for pointing this out. The custom tech was checking conditioned to be hidden if you already had the standard tech. In your situation, you probably had neither tech yet. I have altered the condition to be based on ascension perk, which should remove the duplicate appearance. If you already have the tech in your game, this won't change anything, but next game it will be better.
