@Eclipse - If you don't like this Mod, then there are 2 things you can do:
1 - Go to ...\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS\Better Weak Civ Traits and delete any changes you don't agree with.
2 - Use another mod. I made this for myself, and then put it up to see if anyone else likes it. If you don't like it, then don't use it.
some of new bonuses are copy\paste from other nations without any change so you make them less unique while leaving some of existing bonuses on nations you change so that makes them a bit or a lot - in some cases - op. if you want me to tell you where does OP stuff comes from i can share my point to you in personal message so i wont spam in this thread.
4. The Netherlands can trade ALL Luxuries for Gold with no repercussions what so ever. And it's also easier than modding a +2 Gold onto all Dutch Luxuries. I could, but it would take a long time to get working.
5. I haven't touched Sweden's start Bias. Biases only make you more likely to start in X climate, it doesn't guarantee it.
1. Sweden is one of the three best Diplomatic Civs, along with Greece and Venice. Venice due to sheer amount of Cash, Greece because of their staying power, and Sweden because is can snatch City-States from either shortly before a Vote. As for Gustavus wanting a Military bonus, I agree. Perhaps +10% Strength to units Adjacent to another unit (Gustavus was an early innovator of Combine Arms), or a Buff to Great Generals. I do think Gustavus should keep some bonus towards Diplomacy.
2. I could buff the Hakkapeliitta. Maybe change it to cavalry, give it Heavy Charge? The Stave Church is used in several other mods, so if you want a building, you could go to those.
3. As for Carthage, a bonus toward Trade or Naval Warfare?
@Eclipse - How so? Pray tell, what part of this is 'trash'?
