Description
Stretching across the Chihuahuan Desert from central Arizona and New Mexico to parts of Sonora and Chihuahua, the Mogollon Culture was an ancestor to the modern Pueblo and Hopi. The culture is perhaps best known for the distinctive style of pottery from the Mimbres Branch. It also serves as an important role in the archeological history of the region, acting as a cultural bridge between the American Southwest and Mexican Northwest.

UA: Blended Wares - Start with Pottery. Each city receives a type of Ware based on terrain. On the last turn of a trade route, your city receives a new type of Ware from the other city. If there are no new types to trade, your city instead upgrades a Ware, which can happen up to two times per type. Foreign cities provide/upgrade Wares based on terrain. +1 Culture per turn per type of Ware and per time each Ware was upgraded.

UU: Chopper - Replaces the Warrior. Weaker than the Warrior (6 vs. 8 strength), but much cheaper (20 vs. 40 production). Receives +1 Sight when starting its turn on hills.

UB: Pithouse - Replaces the Granary. +2 Food. +1 Food per type of Ware in the city. Allows Food to be moved through internal trade routes. Cities on hills also receive +5 Defensive Strength and +2 Happiness.

Types of Wares:Plains = Plain Ware, Grasslands = Brown Ware, Desert = Red Ware, Tundra/Snow = White Ware

As someone who's super into southwest archaeology and pottery, I feel like this was made for me! Thanks so much!

I see more and more archaeology references in games, but this was a real close-to-home treat.

@robocat They're named after the Mogollon Mountains, which in term were named after a Spanish explorer, Juan Ignacio Flores Mogollon. As for the origin of his name, I have no idea. So it could possibly be linked, but it looks like it's just a funny coincidence

Are they related to Mongolians?
I am given to understand that Amerinds are maybe-sorta descended from Mongolian nomads that crossed the Bering icebridge tens of thousands of years ago... but the name (Mogollon) is just too coincidental to pass up.
