Description
You are a Southern Pacific engineer called for a morning departure of an expedited eastbound Pacific Fruit Express perishables block. You'll be departing Roseville with SP Cab-Forward 4210 on the front of your train, another midway in the consist, and a third on the rear. You'll be climbing the western slope of Donner Pass to Colfax via the lower-gradient Track 2. With three big Cab-Forwards and high priority traffic, can you make the run to Colfax in 50 minutes? To do so, you will need to manage your steam pressure with throttle and especially cut-off (reverser) very well.

As much as I like driving the Cab Forward, I'm still a terrible driver. The target was to get to Colfax in 50 minutes. It took me 93 minutes........

Other than that, I still had fun with this scenario. I loved the sound of the Cab Forwards struggling up the grades. Pity you can't really replicate it with diesels.

If I can figure out how to make gameplay videos, I can now definitely imagine making a music video of of this scenario being played with the theme music being this by Bachmann-Turner Overdrive: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=st80MOVoi4M Except now the song title should really be 'Roll On Down The RAILWAY!'

In a QD setup of putting the Cab Forward on the London-Haversham high speed route, with 12 passenger cars and a caboose just to 'top speed test' it, I managed to hit 70+ mph. Man now I wish a day might come we see Cab Forward #4294 either restored or a group trust is founded that has a goal of building a brand-new one from scratch like the A1 Trust in Britain did in buidling 'Tornado' from scratch.
