Description
Great name, I know.

I love Elves of Stellaris, but the Elven trait always felt like it was limiting potential playstyles.

This mod is just meant to make the trait feel less restrictive. Not to make the game unbalanced. Feel free to weigh in :)

Currently, the elves are still immortal, and leaders have double upkeep.


With the trait being changed to try something new in patch 3.13 "Vela", I've reverted my modification back to the default such as it is now in the main mod, but the changes and bugfixes described below and in the comments still apply.



As of 3.4 "Cepheus", I've adjusted the savage traits as well per request (both elven and drow). The production penalty felt too harsh, so I've removed it entirely. The idea being that if you're lucky enough to find savages, this'll be a fun little bonus. If anyone thinks that's too much however, feel free to chime in :) I'm open to suggestions.



Btw, if I broke something because I don't know wth I'm doing, do tell me.

I think I wanna update the mod to use the new trait bonuses that they've opted to try out in the main mod. Frankly just sounds more fun ^^ However, drow wasn't updated it looks like, and neither were the savage variants, so I'll keep the mod running for now.

...not sure why I've got a line in there that says "forced happiness = no" though. Not even sure what it does, and it doesn't appear in the main mod either, so I'm gonna remove that.

Hmm, I wonder if I could make the upkeep an exponential growth based on level instead. I think that would be better, but I don't know if that's doable.

I don't remember when, but now they get both. It maaay be a mistake too, but I saw at least ten pre ftl elven/drow races with both traits.

@Aregemoth So wait, you're saying that savage elves and savage drow also get their normal elf and drow traits now? They didn't used to get both, did they?

Ookay, I guess you will need to update it one more time.
There's a funny "bug" with trait_drow_savage:
"immortal_leaders = yes" should be set to "no"
and
"leader_lifespan_add = 625" line should be removed as lifespan bonuses from both drow trait multiply AND on top of that leaders are made immortal.
Princess Stabbity confirmed that this is a leftover from temp fix they made some time ago.

Alright, updated finally ^^ Sorry about the delay. The lifespan thing should be fixed too, but I just copied what they'd done with the elves in the base mod.

There was a bug with leader_age, and Eladrin suggested using leader_lifespan_add instead -- perhaps leader_age has been removed in the new patch?
