Balanced Animals

In my Balanced Food mod I edited the body size of every animal/creature/human to try to properly reflect the amount of meat that would be received in optimum butchering conditions.

Balanced Food = https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1909107910

1. Due to the resizing of the animals I made the decision create this mod to alter the hauling requirements for all animals. If the animal in question has a trainability of advanced it can now be trained to haul, regardless of how small it is. It might not haul much but it can haul.

"Monkeys and cats moving hats?!? WTF!?!"

2. Secondly, I decided to mod the vanilla animals and creatures for use as pack animals as well. As such the following vanilla animals/creatures can now be used as pack animals with visible packs in-game:

Elephant, Rhinoceros, Dromedary, Polar bear, Pig, Cow, Elk, Megasloth, Thrumbo, Grizzly bear, Caribou, Muffalo, Ostrich, Boomalope, Wild boar, Megaspider, Cougar, Panther, Warg, Deer, Alpaca, Ibex, Spelopede, Arctic wolf, Timber wolf, Capybara, Labrador retriever, Alphabeaver, Monkey, Husky, Gazelle, Cassowary, Emu, Goat, and Sheep.

"Strap 'em up! We're moving out!!!"

Special thanks to all the other pack animal modders for paving the way and making my life much easier.

Updated all versions to include adjustments to <baseHungerRate> in accordance to the <baseBodySize> amendments that were made to all the smaller animals.

Now you will receive less meat when butchering smaller animals without the animals starving to death prior to getting butchered.

Thank you @Asterai

Hello again @Asterai. As it turns out, you were onto something that I did not know at the time.
-----
General mechanics
Saturation is measured in units of nutrition. There are 2 distinct measures of saturation.

Maximum nutrition, or how much nutrition a pawn can store at any one time. It is dependent on the body size of the species as well as the body size factor and food max factor according to the pawns life stage. The function is species_body_size × body_size_factor × food_max_factor. For adult specimens body size factor and food max factor are both 1. An adult human (with a body size of 1) can therefore hold up to 1 nutrition.
-----
As such, making the smaller animals even smaller to provide less meat when butchered had a negative impact on the animal's ability to store food. Hence the reason my mod makes the smaller animals eat like it was the end of the world.

I will reassess. Thanks!

Yes, @Asterai. This mod adjusts the body sizes of all the vanilla animals. I am not sure how an adjusted body size had a negative impact on hunger rates but regardless I am happy you figured out how to keep your chickens from nearly starving to death overnight in a lush field.

Your mod appears to adjust the body size of chickens downward by a factor of 10.

I learned this while investigating why my chickens were nearly starving to death overnight in a lush field.

Uninstalling your mod returned them from body size 0.03 to the normal 0.3.
