Germanic Overhaul

Description
This mod overhauls the appearance of all the germanic units, without changing any of their stats. One of the main goals of the mod is to not look like a mod.
  • Spear Wall now have helmets, and a new unit card to reflect this, but no armour. This reflects their armour stat, which is higher than Wodanaz Spears, but lower than Sword Masters.

  • Round Shield Swordsmen have new improved shields.

  • Bloodsworn are made into an axe unit, with a tweaked unit card to reflect this.

  • Wolf Warriors are made into an axe unit, with a tweaked unit card to reflect this.

  • Club Levy have been tweaked and given a new unit card. Their clubs now look like clubs.

  • Wodanaz Spears still wear pelts, some draped forwards, some draped back.

  • Spearwomen no longer wear ahistorical armour, and instead wear plain tunics, similar to Spear Brothers.

  • Hex-Bearers, Cimbri Bow-Women, and Spearwomen have tweaked unit cards.

  • Germanic Youths are now beardless.

  • Horse Runners now have germanic swords, and look more distinct from Germanic Youths.

  • Germanic Slingers now have ammo pouches.
et cætera...

The mod is save game compatible, and also compatible with Ancient Colors by Epaminondas,
and Classic faction colours by Yews.

Maybe give some color to the shields, German shields are the worse as far as colors goes, maybe make them as colorful as the other barbarian factions.

Good mod. Only thing that bothers me is adding too much black hair and less uniformed hairstyle that the suebes were famous for. atleast the spearbrothers and bloodsworn should have like vanilla it be more uniformed. otherwise anything else is better

I like that your goal was to have the mod not look like a mod. You accomplished your goal, and I'm already considering the mod essential.

Alexandros, when textures are missing, it means you probably have more than 35 mods installed. That's the max.

That's good. The mod should be compatible with most other mods (such as the two mentioned in the mod description), but using it alongside other mods that change the same files can cause conflicts and bugs. Music mods, colour mods, and emblem mods are safe to use.

In the mod manager you can place a mod above others, so that it has priority, and can cancel out conflicting files below it. For example: If I place the red-figure unit cards mod by Yews above this mod, it will cancel out the unit cards in this mod, in favor of the red-figure cards, while keeping the rest of the changes from this mod.

It works but I tested it alone without other mods.

Everything looks normal on my end, but I have updated the mod now. It's also possible, if you have several active mods, that this mod has come into conflict with another mod. Let me know if it works.

All of them. Did you try to update it? Because Creative assembly made some changes with the skins in the last update.
