Vanilla Maps - REMASTERED

Description
This is the original version, but requires DLC

The DLC-free version can be found here:Islands: Remastered - A Vanilla, DLC Free Map

Welcome to Islands!

This map is a complete overhaul of the base-game map, Islands. The old map came with the game purchase, but I was never intrigued by the vanilla maps, so I decided to remaster every single one.

Stats

  • 57% buildable area
  • balanced industry resources
  • 3 highway connections
  • 2 rail connections
  • 2 air connections
  • 1 sea connection

Some Info

The infrastructure layout similarly follows the old layout, but with some tweaks with elevation rises. They resemble what they would be in reality, instead of running over all the hills.

The islands are no longer sitting ~30 meters above sea level, they now have nicely shaped beaches with some small cliff faces. I have also raised the sea level to help match the overall beach height.

The river that runs through the start square is now dammed that forms a nice, long lake for irrigation and leisure activities. Some of the lower areas filled in with water and formed some nice inlets for boating.
The larger river has two, high-capacity dams that produce vast quantities of power. Your city will not need a power plant for quite some time, as there is approximately 2,400 MW of power already supplied. Just tap into the power line at the top of the start square!

As a consequence to all the nearby dams, there is a lot of existing infrastructure to help connect all the plants. Do with those as you deem necessary.

[NOTE:]
The water at the dams, when the tile is purchased, will update and create a wave. Just give it some time, the water physics will sort itself out.

This map can also be played with either all 25 vanilla tiles, or all 81 playable tiles. The detailing didn't just stop in the middle!

Is it possible to make a version with no DLCs? Im a poor boy

Because no mods or assets are required to play. And I bet that over 90% of the player base has both Industries and Mass Transit installed. They were the most popular DLC's, so even if having DLC's isn't considered vanilla, then it's still open to more players that don't have mods or assets.
