Description
Hover Vessel Transport and utility SV. Level 15
Alpha 10.6 experimenal or later only.
Intended for Mass / Volume enabled games
Tier 2 CPU

It's a SV designed to carry a mining HV to ore deposits and other planets, or to transport HV's to a planet surface from an orbiting CV (10.6 added ability for HV's to dock to SV's).
12,090 SU storage capacity. Standard steel construction, with hardened steel around the core, cpu extender, armored glass windshield. HV parking area is cargo extensions.
Lifting capacity for approx. 155 tons cargo or HV's in 1g. Using the new 'thruster boost' feature could potentially allow it to haul more for brief periods (hit Shift+direction key). Unfortunately it's max speed is severely reduced as mass is added.

Warp drive is not included but there is an easily accessed space for it and a warp tank, as well as a spot for a shield.

Uses 12,811 of the 12,000 CPU capacity, which gives it 99.5% efficiency [not sure if the efficiency penalty is currently applied or how it takes form - or if the 99.5% is accurate - this being experimental alpha these values are likely to change with every update. I would guess this has a 00.5% reduction to thruster output due to cpu]. Adding a warp drive will increase this efficiency penalty considerably, so it may be something you only want to install when you need to do a warp. The SV shield currently has an absurd CPU cost - 16,300 - so adding that would probably max out the penalty to the point that the craft couldn't move. Using a T3 or T4 CPU is not an option due to the huge amount of fuel that they burn, as well as the unique materials they need.
[as of the recent update - build 2695 - it is no longer over the T2CPU, so has no penalty, and a bit of left over cpu budget that could be used to keep a warp drive mounted with minimal penalty]

Has no RCS. Primarily uses the new SV T2 Box thrusters (these are what make it level 15).

Includes most of the other SV stuff - fridge, o2 station (and oxygenated interior), armor locker, constructor, detector. Only 1 seat included, but there are 2 spots for passenger seats if needed (marked with the white line below fridge and cargo controller). Also has drone-launch shutter roof - will need to stand behind pilot seat facing forward to launch drone out of it.
2 gatling guns and 375SU ammo storage.

Parking area ramps are sensor operated, with lever to turn off sensor if you want manual control. Entry to cabin on motion sensor, as well as the cabin area lights/lcd's. Lever for thruster control, gatling gun control, constructor control, and flashing flares.

Materials:
Carbon Substrate: 586
Copper: 564
Iron: 544
Silicon: 451
Cobalt: 254
Sathium: 39
Neodymium: 10

(the neodymium and some of the sathium is for the T2 CPU Extension)

The arm over the HV parking area can be removed it it's blocking a taller HV from docking.
If you remove the arm the sensor will also need to be moved, above the doorway will probably work.

The area on the rear (behind the 2x2 shutter) of the parking spot is for the warp drive and tank OR you can fill that space with anything you want. (if you're ok with breaking restrictions an HV clone chamber can go where the 2x2 shutter is).
Core is easily accessed if you wanted to remove it while leaving ship (for example while mining with the HV) to prevent a drone from seeing the SV as a target .

This is basically an evolution of my older Dromedary freighter ship line, although I didn't really like that name much, and couldn't come up with anything good that wasn't taken. Feel free to rename it though. (HVT1060ST = hover vessel transport, from alpha 10.6.0, Steel construction)

Note for Alpha 10.5.1 and earlier: This won't work in earlier versions, relies on the new thruster rotation force for turning, and thrusters that didn't exist in 10.5 (and the cpu extension).

HV's shown in pics: yellow/black one is the XM-903 drillbug (currently way over CPU), and the black/white one is the XM-1060 (now on workshop also).

Awesome, love these new ideas for sv carrying hvs. Very nice details, shapes and showcasing. Thanks for sharing. Regards.

Personally, I like the arm. With it on the ship reminds me a bit of your utility SV.

Ahh thanks, didn't realize that - was basing that info on an old video I saw that they were autofiring from a SV (I think it may have been a custom config server though - one of those that sold SV's with turrets).
I just went and checked in survival and sure enough the HV turrets when on this ignored everything - I'll probably do an update to tweak or remove that 'arm' over the parking area soon. It kinda looks odd without it there, but it does allow a lot more HV's to fit if it's gone.

HV turrets on an SV won't autofire, they need manual control. Unless something's changed. I just started using this and it works pretty good so far.
