Shy Guy

It's Shy Guy, of Mario and Yoshi fame! He takes on several iconic moves from his appearances in Super Mario Bros. 2, Yoshi's Island, and Paper Mario!

Moveset:

Jab: He puts on a Sniffit mask and shoots a bullet. Tap again, and he'll jump while shooting a bullet!

Ftilt: Bashes forwards with his shield! It's got great coverage!

Utilt: Thrusts his spear into the air! The tip of the spear does extra knockback and damage!

Dtilt: Hides in the flowers and does a sweeping hammer hit. Will knock low at low percents, and high at high percents!

Dash attack: Trips and falls on his face. The beginning of the fall has a hit that can send aerial opponents downward!

Fstrong: A mighty swing of his mace! Long windup, but hits like a, well, giant mace! Surprise opponents by holding the opposite direction before you swing!

Ustrong: Gets a heart, and becomes Mega Guy! While you're large, you can tank some lighter hits!

Dstrong: Rides an Ostro forwards with great speed! You'll go flying if you go past the ledge!

Nair: Lights on fire! Six hits and good disjoint make for a safe dragdown option!

Fair: A kick attack from Paper Mario! It'll linger a little while!

Bair: A backwards kick, much like Mario or Bowser's! Stronger than fair, but has a shorter amount of time out!

Uair: It's Fly Guy! Not only does it hit several times, ending with a strong finisher, but how it moves depends on your momentum beforehand!

Dair: Chucks a carrot from Super Mario Bros. 2! Just like the original game, it'll fly through floors and walls!

Nspecial: Autobomb! Get on Shy Guy's trusty vehicle, and wait a bit to shoot a deadly fireball! You can move back and forth while you're waiting! If you press attack before the full shot is released, you'll shoot a Small Fryguy instead! He'll bounce around a few times, striking any opponent in his path! Only one Small Fryguy can be out at a time!

Fspecial: Magic Carpet! Will work as a platform for Shy Guy (or anyone else) to ride on! Will move down unless hitting the ground. Combine it with Shy Guy's other moves for maximum use!

Uspecial: Jack-in-the-Box! Straight out of Shy Guy's Toy Box, he'll stomp on you with this unexpectedly deadly toy! Doesn't go far up by itself, but if you can stomp on an opponent, you'll send them straight down as you gain back your jumps!

Dspecial: Stilt Guy! Hit left or right to take a step in that direction! Pressing anything else will have you jump out of it! When you exit, you'll be in the air where you were during the move, so you can use it to combo into an aerial! Or, use it as a sneaky dodge against lower attacks!

Taunt: Dancing Spear Guy! He’ll do a little jump at the end, so make sure you don’t send him flying off the stage while shaking his booty!

Dtaunt: Shy Guy Says! Press A to raise the A flag, and B to press the B flag! They do each have a hit, but it won’t do much!

Every aspect of the character, aside from sound effects and some code references, were done by myself! This is my first full Rivals character, I hope you enjoy him!
