Description
(CV Class 9, CPU Tier 4 (Alpha 11.x), Unlock Level 25, Replica)

Update 11/19/19 - Switched ship to alpha 11.x and added a CPU screen shot. The RCS were removed and replaced with 4 tier 4 CPU blocks. The ship now is at ~ 5.8 Million CPU and 100% efficiency with 4 million to spare at tier 4. The CPU blocks can be found in the engineering area and are tucked into the walls in various places to look right. No other changes were made.

The MCRN-Tachi was built as a replica from the TV series "The Expanse". This project had many challenges including how to get a ship like this to function in game as the original ship is much smaller and lands vertically like a rocket. (Space X). After attempting vertical landing I found it was difficult in game to make it useful especially for a ship this size. So, I built a specialized docking platform to offer safe and proper landings, also allowing HV's to enter the hangar. This creation is the MCRN-Corvette Class SDP or Surface Docking Platform. This creation is almost required to use this ship properly.

Survival features

The ship has a lot of offense built into it as well as some defensive measures. To keep it looking more authentic to the original ship, most of the turrets not on the original can be retracted.

The ship was built with layered combat steel, thicker in places depending on what is there to protect. It has a main secure 3rd person bridge as well as a small 1st person docking cockpit. The docking cockpit is needed to land this properly to the SDP. The Secure bridge is extra hardened containing most ship controls and a large heads up display showing what systems are active.

Other features include a 90 grow plot farm, 3x320K storage +many cargo boxes, 80K ammo storage, 4 Adv. constructors, WiFi, Warp Drive, Armor Repair, Armor locker, good sized hangar with extra SV only landing pads, repair bay, crew quarters, mess hall, large engineering deck, Medical bay, and extra areas here and there :)

Offense and Defense

Layered combat steel hull, thicker in important places. A wide range of turrets and max limit launchers. It also has 8 sentry guns for ground defense. This ship also has many compartmentalized o2 areas.

10. Medical bay, crew quarters, mess hall, engineering area
11. Sensor based lights, doors, and ramps.
12. Many control switches for various things. Large multi-projector display panel in secure bridge
13. Based on the MCRN-Tachi from the TV series "The Expanse"

so i absolutely love this ship i have fixed the yaw with my servers RCS but my literal only complaint is it needs assisted landing. i know you made the dock but i do move a lot. in fact for my HV's i have made a small Mule like SV where the HV docks to it. but i do wish there was a way to make unassisted landing without the tachi looking like it had chicken legs :P any suggestions Jradall? other wise i love your work and pretty much only use your designs because of how well they're made and user friendly they are.

ape--yes ive used it in re and had no issues other than it having a few too many extra storage boxes than i like which can be removed so other things can fit

Anyone use this recently in RE? I just built it and there is almost no turning left or right. It does turn just very very slowly. This is in space or orbit. I made sure the switches for high performance RCS was on but no change at all. Any tips or help is appreciated.

I just had a quick question, why no detector? To me its one of the most basic system needed for exploration. I was just curious if there was a reason. I love the design

Thank you WOLFHORS3! I check them out! Very cool vertical landing! I did play with that when I was building it, but I ended up scrapping the idea. I am glad to see you got it working! :) Awesome work!

BTW Gonna try this out, soon as I saw it I went WOW that's cool, then when I saw it was the rocinante, I had to have it. Read the entire expanse series twice before the show was even in the idea stage. Loved them both..... I may change the name to Amos, OK? XD

@poichan goto devices, find it in the list then set view on hud to yes/on whatever then use God mode to go right to it, then turn off show on hud once you know where it is. Be careful do not delete/scrap/get rid of anything you have showing on HUD you will never get rid of the marker.
