Undo It!

Description

This mod adds Undo/Redo options to the game!

Tools that this mod supports: Building/bulldozing roads, buildings, props and trees
The rest is unsupported

Warning: Don't use this mod to undo:
- Buildings relocation
- EML - When using EML, undoing props will be disabled
- Move It! actions (use built-in CTRL+Z instead), PLT,...
- Roundabout Builder, Smart Intersection Builder

If you often use Move It undo feature, I suggest to rebind the Undo/Redo key to something else, so you don't accidentally mix them up!

This mod only rebuilds the roads. If there were for example bus stops, this mod does not recover them.

This mod can be used to undo actions of some mods without built-in undo feature. For example:
Forest bursh
Parallel Road Tool
...

Troubleshooting

Q: I undid / deleted a road, but for some reason the pillars remained there. They cannot be deleted. What can I do?
A: They can be deleted with Move It. Open the Move It tool, hold ALT and click on the pillar. Then remove it with the Move It bulldozer.

Please report any other issues with the mod in the discussion section.

@LemonsterOG thanks for the idea, the default key binding currently let me select by move it and press control b to bulldoze it.

@Druidsaint -- Use Move It and hold the ALT key to select the pillar, then delete it.

hi, didn't realize undo it doesn't work nicely with move it. i have a few highway pillar stuck after undo. is there a way to delete it?

If the array is actually just being saturated, a simple "rolling fill loop", which just needs to track the "last array position filled", might solve the issue.

Looping from 0-9, you just roll back to 0 after reaching 9, continuing the loop. (the math function MOD would quickly get you your roll-over value needed) Unless, somehow, the actions are buffered and it is spewing out a list of 21 actions, then you could run into issues again. I think that planting trees, which is fast, may be doing just that. The game may be buffering many actions into a list and your mod is trying to cram 21 actions into an array with only 10 values, going past 10 or 20, which would need a roll-over adjustment. Especially if using a "for each", in a list of elements.

This crashes if you try to plant trees... It complains that an array is out of bounds or something. Trees plant fast and fill the default 10 undo moves. But the error implies that it is, for some reason, trying to "fill" or "read", beyond the value set.

The game will fail to build a tree after 10. If you go into the settings and change the number higher, it lasts longer. If you keep it at 10, then simply hit ENTER, it will empty the undo info and start working again.

Otherwise, this is a valuable QOL addition that the original game should have. Even if it was just limited to being used when the game is paused, as opposed to being active while the game is running and the things you are creating, start getting used, then suddenly deleted or redone.

In the case of EML's Prop Anarchy the Undo it! is switched off, otherwise the CTRL+Z is working fine.
