Rim Trek - Apparel

Description

Welcome to Rim-Trek Apparel.

This is my first venture into Rimworld modding. I got bored of modding other people's mods for my personal use and decided that I'd like to make my own. I hope this is the first of several Star Trek related mods I want to make. This was partly prompted by me searching for Star Trek outfits and seeing no one bothered doing The Next Generation Era uniforms.

Remember to Rate. Thanks.

1.0.0 - Initial Release (10-14-2019)
1.0.1 - Japanese Translation Added, Provided by Proxyer (10-15-2019)

  • Mid-Late The Next Generation Era Uniforms: Command, Science, and Operations Divisions
  • Early Deep Space Nine and Voyager Era Uniforms: Command, Science, and Operations Divisions
  • Mid-Late Deep Space Nine Uniforms: Command, Science, and Operations Divisions

Regarding the stats on the clothing: This isn't a Variety is the Spice of Life mod. If you are planning on using this mod, chances are you either want to roleplay in the Star Trek Universe or you want a Spacer Uniform for a high tech playthrough. Both of which means that you probably don't want to cover them up with a Parka or Duster. But since this is Rimworld, you also need certain stats so your pawns don't die. The stats are designed with all that in mind. These are all stuffable and won't change color. Use whatever leather or fabric you want to gain the stats you want for the biome you are in or for defense. The temperature control on these outfits are basically if a Duster and a Parka had a Starfleet child. So whether you are on an Ice Sheet and make it out of Megasloth Wool or an Extreme Desert and use Camel Hair, you will be more than fine. As for Armor, its a bit like a Button Down Shirt and Duster combo but on a single layer. If you decide to layer a bunch of clothing on top of the uniform to get as much protection as you can, thats a YOU thing. The different uniforms have minor stat buffs for their division.

These outfits should NOT appear on any other pawns, but they might appear in trader inventories.

I just wanted to thank the people at the Vanilla Expanded series. Without them, I wouldn't of even realized that the game allowed 256x256. And man... That really makes things easier to do instead of being forced to deal with 128x128 or resizing.

Do you plan on making more outfits?
Maybe. But most of the extra stuff I could make would be obscure or casual outfits.

Do you plan on making Races?
I'd like to and that would be a different module. If I did, then that would open up more outfits. Plus, it would give me a reason to dust off my digital drawing pad.

Borg?!
No. While I could slap some Borg together, it would be weird without adding new mechanics and tech etc so they would be more than just a skin. And I'm not there yet since this is my first Rimworld mod. If I learn some more, maybe.

Weapons?
I might after I learn a bit. But.. unless I do additional races, we are talking about 2 weapons if I did.

I checked the XML in this mod, it should be compatible with CE, as long the apparel is made of CE patched materials. It never sets any armor values by itself.
