Eskion Waystation (8-Slot Station)

Description
The main hyperspace lanes through the Eskion Cluster and Safa'o Nebula are dotted with waystations, where traveling tradeships can stop and resupply. Some of these stations also serve as fighter bases and minor training facilities for the Eskion Defense Fleet, and so it is not uncommon for them to see a mix of civilian and military traffic. Should a civilian vessel encounter Xsotan activity in Eskion space, they are advised to immediately seek out the nearest waystation.

For collectors looking to (legally) acquire unusual items, waystations are practically bazaars. Eskion artisans with the proper guild connections are known to spend months or even years at a time living aboard a waystation, trading their handiwork with passing tradeships for exotic wares from other parts of the galaxy.

Armament:

-10x size 1 small arms/point defense hardpoints

This general-purpose station build is the first for the Eskion Collective series. Like most of the builds in this series, it is partially armored and highly customizable, with a large amount of internal framework space. It boasts academy facilities, but not cloning pods (as cloning pods are Xanion-tier) - you can either add some via frameworks, or simply hire untrained crew members through the station interface and then send them for training. The dancer statues took a while to do and have been sitting around in my "parts" folder for months now, so I'm excited to finally use them.

If you like the station, but are worried about block count, the filaments around the perimeter are attached to the main structure by only a couple of blocks on the projector antenna. Deleting these blocks with "safe mode" turned off will delete that entire structure, cutting the overall block count from 12k to 9k. Please only do this in singleplayer, though, as servers don't generally like it when you delete 3000 blocks at once.

The two docked hangar craft in this build are a Seria-class boarding craft and a Fioritura-class cargo drone. More Eskion-style fighters and turrets can be found in the collection.
