Progression Rebalance + Increase! -V. 100 Compatible-

Description
[[ Important: I recommend using this on a new character. Existing characters that have the new XP scaling applied to them will have their XP bar frozen until you unlock an achievement of any kind, after which XP will resume as usual ]]

I wanted to reduce the timesink while maintaining a decent sense of progression/investment. These are some simple tweaks to get you past the early game quicker and make previously less attractive currency spawns more worth the time to pick up.

Required XP/level reduced. The exponential modifier was originally 2.25(125% increase per level), it is now 1.75(75% increase per level). This drastically reduces the need to grind for levels but still leaves plenty of time investment for your character.

Skillpoints award 4, 6 and 12 at their respective level tiers! Originally 3, 5 and 10, this is intended to slightly buff skill ranks and keep endgame flowing a bit more generously.

Movement increased to 2.8 from 2.4, maximum run speed increased to 6.5! I found the base run speed just SLIGHTLY too slow for comfort. I bumped it up by a modest 0.4 to help speed up the early game. The overall increase to cap is for fun/speedrunning.

Ore drops doubled, major buffs to coins and minor buffs to diamonds.

Coins are now ordered much more sensibly:
Copper1=10, Copper2=15, Copper3=20, Silver1=25......and so on, until you get to Gold3, which equals 50.

The intent behind this change was to make sure the player could look at a coin or pile of coins and know exactly the amount they were getting(for instance Copper3 was worth 10 but Gold1 was worth 5....???). The original values of the coins are also increased by a substantial amount. I found that by midgame, coins were not really worth the time to pick up most of the time. This buff will help get you going early on and then hopefully keep endgame players interested in picking them up.

Diamonds were already pretty worthwhile but I still tuned them up a bit. On average, their value went up ~15% across the board. They're still worth chasing and now they're worth a bit more!

Ore Drops are doubled. I found myself feeling held back by the RNG ore spawns in the early game so I doubled the pickup amount. You now get 2 ore whenever you pick it up.

Still works in 2022. With exsisting heroes simply do a Arena run to reset the issue with exp. You need the dlc for this. Must have mod if you dont want to grind your whole life!

I took a look myself, it's because both mods change the same files related to progression. There's no easy way around this unless you're willing to look at some python scripting yourself.

As a follow up, the problem I experienced was a conflict with the LR's Item Collection mod

With this mod installed and starting a new game, the game freezes when the town starts rendering, but no buildings or people are visible, and the game has to be force-killed.

is there any way to reset ingame achievements so I can use my old characters? I would ideally not want to restart my lvl 25-30 characters.

Once you get going with a build, it's usually pretty quick to farm but it takes sooooo long for that early game slog imo. By the time you're grasping the class and finding a groove, it feels like you're just waiting to get the upgrades that let you progress for most classes. And waiting, and waiting, and waiting...

Hope this softens that early game slog for you :V

THANKS. This game is an absolute grind without mods. This is basically exactly what I wanted. I'm hoping it makes it playable again.

If you want to keep the changes I made here, message me with a link to the other mod and I'll happily edit the values for you. There's not a whole lot to it so you could feasibly alter it yourself if you're comfortable learning a very small bit of python.

If you have another mod that alters the same files, it could be causing a conflict when it tries to load them when you load your save. It's been a bit since I actively played but if you have other progression mods/currency mods they might not be playing nice.

This mod makes some fairly small edits to the game but there's 17 UNIT files I altered for currency and ore drop increase and there's an 18th file in scripts that changes the player's EXP gains. If any other mod changes one those files too, they could butt heads.
