Gantry Crane mk.II

Welcome to the D.I.C. Gantry Crane. Designed for use in heavy lifting, salvage and construction operations. The crane arm is piped using large conveyors and advanced rotors. This allows the attachment to be connected and used to refuel and resupply ships regardless of their connector orientation. With two large cargo containers, two hydrogen and one oxygen tanks on board you are sure to have everything you need without having to reconnect to the base. In addition the large landing gear and mass block counter weights make it simple and easy to move small, medium, and even some large ships using the torque adjustments. Removing either of the two stock attachments and adding either welders or grinders make this crane a salvage and construction beast. Given that the crane head is attached via conveyors you can either grind down and store materials on-board or my favorite technique cut large ships into pieces and drop them in a grinding pit using the landing gear. Equally as useful is setting up a large grid ship projection nearby and using a welder attachment to end the non stop trips to a cargo access point for materials. The attachment head is also done via advanced rotor so you can make and store multiple crane attachments if you so choose. Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoy it.
