Bus Tube Road (1W + 2W)

Description
Did you ever wish for a fully covered road? Does it bother you that cims get wet all the time when it rains?

The sleek, glassy bus tube is the metropolitan's dream road for public transportation. Covered in high quality corrugated steel, both passengers and buses alike are sheltered from the elements. The large glass barriers afford people inside full view of the beautiful city you have created, and also affords you the opportunity to spy on your cims going about their daily business.

IF YOU LIKE THIS ASSET, PLEASE RATE IT to help visibility.

The bus tube blends into urban environs, where it can also be used to drive directly into transport hubs like metro, airports, and even through high rise buildings. (You will need additional mods like Disable Zone Check or Plop the Growables to avoid destroying zoned buildings when a road goes through them). As a busway, it does not support zoning, and so will not accidentally dezone buildings you have created.

The bus tube, just like its sister, the tiny one lane busway (https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1874007983), does support elevated bus stops. It can be put directly above normal roads and even be stacked on top of each other, allowing you to squeeze more transit capability into high density areas. With the appropriate policy ticked in Traffic Manager, President's Edition (TMPE), cars and trucks will be banned from using this road. As a dedicated road for buses, speed is high at 80 km/h.

Pedestrians LOVE the bus tube because it finally gives cover from the rain, which they have been enduring all these years without complaint and without even opening umbrellas.

The Bus Tube is both (!) a two way and a one way road, so you will not need to subscribe to a separate road just to get the same look. Just use Fine Road tool, and select the Bridge option, to widen the Tube into a two lane road. You can even activate Bridge mode on ground.

Disclaimer - the game does not allow creating extra features at junctions, therefore the Bus Tube is not rendered at intersections. To overcome this, place the the props yourself which are included in this package (Glass Sound Barrier / Mampara and New Station Roof Platform). Also, try not to slope the tube too much. Glass is brittle.

v3 - Implemented a fix to allow two buses to queue up without blocking traffic flow (i.e. the Double Bus Problem.) A problem almost all roads have; except my Tiny Busways family. An unfortunate side effect is buses will sometimes clip out of the glass. Small price to pay for better traffic, i guess.
