Contagion Ambience Mod

If you played nmrih long enough, you probably have noticed the lack of ambient sounds in the game. Some maps feel empty or play the same four sound effects over and over again. It's the end of the world! Cities should have more echoing gunshots, helicopters flying in the sky, police sirens passing by. So I decided to make a mod that adds more sounds in the game. Not replacing the sound effects, but adding new ones from the game Contagion.


Basically what the mod does is edit the soundscripts for the base maps to play the new ambient sounds. What is a soundscript? It's a script that tells you what ambient sounds play on the map. So instead of listening to the same 4 gunshot sounds, you get to listen to that and an extra 55 gunshot sounds from contagion. I'm not lying. This mod adds a total of 218 new sounds. Probably noticed that the mod was split into two parts. That's because the sound files are uncompressed .wavs for all that crispy high quality sounds. So they are going to take up ALOT of space. If that bothers people too much, I can make a lighter version.


TL:DR
So here's a quick crackdown of what this mod does
- Changes all the outside sound effects
- Adds over 201 ambient sounds from the game contagion! Crazy ain't it?
- Works for singleplayer and multiplayer!
- Only affects the base maps. (Except nms_camilla and nmo_shelter) Not custom maps!
- Adds a mall announcer to nms_northway from dead rising. (cause why not?) With a total of 16 sounds!
- A few sounds that originally only played on one map carried over across other maps
- Cities will feel like a warzone, forests will be more lively.
- Now you don't need to blast ThoughT music to make yourself feel less lonely.
