Cutscenes lag fix solution (1080p converted to 720p)

Videos with lower quality to 720p 8Mb/s 60FPS and 4-8Mb/s 30 FPS (from 1080p 16-10Mb/s 60FPS). This should fix current problem for "Daymare 1998" cutscenes lags and late to audio.

Daymare 1998 main cutscenes are 1080p .mp4 avc video files with 16-10Mb/s bitrate and 60fps.
In this fix, videos rescaled to 720p .mp4 avc and lowered to 8Mb/s. Also more for potato version 720p avc 4-8Mb/s 30fps.

Not sure why game can't handle those 1080p videos, but 720p works almost perfect for me.

INSTALLATION
Go to games directory:
..\Daymare 1998\Daymare_MASTER\Content\

I recommend backup whole "Movies" folder, or just those 33 files.
For that if 720p videos not helped fix or developers gonna fix playback issue later.

Just copy "Movies" folder from archive to game "Movies" folder and overwrite.

*2020-12-11 - 720p 60FPS files updated (more optimized 7Mb/s, better quality)
720p 60FPS 8Mb/s (3.3gb): GoogleDrive[drive.google.com] or ModDB.
720p 30FPS 4-8Mb/s (3.2gb): GoogleDrive[drive.google.com] or ModDB.

Do it yourself

For example use free but powerfull Pazera:
Pazera Free MP4 Video Converter 64bit[www.pazera-software.com]

[Add folder] and select Daymare movies folder ("..Steam\steamapps\common\Daymare 1998\Daymare_MASTER\Content\Movies"). Now you should select only cutscenes videos. e.g. not need "loop", "daymare intro" or smaller scale videos as hacking, combine tutorial and etc.
Basically videos 1080p with 16-10Mb/s bitrate.

Select "Output Directory" anywhere, just not in game movies folder.
For testing you can try 1 video "The_Incident.mp4" (is first intro cutscene).

If playing on lowest settings game still lags and stutters, you cab lower even more in .ini settings. Also you can add more UE4 lines in .ini

Go to users appdata ."..AppData\Local\Daymare_MASTER\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor".
Open "GameUserSettings.ini" with any text editor and change things around e.g.:

sg.ViewDistanceQuality=1
sg.AntiAliasingQuality=0
sg.ShadowQuality=0
sg.PostProcessQuality=0
sg.TextureQuality=2
sg.EffectsQuality=1
