When I bought this game I thought "Oh look a cheap resident evil knock off" but upon playing it and having a friend with me, while we were making all the cheesy cliche's with "Oh I'm sure this couldn't go horribly wrong" ect. I found that while yes its clearly inspired by the RE games its definitely its own unique game with a interesting story

This was a good game but it isnt for everyone. It scratches a very specific itch of those who like old school Eurojank horror. There are the typical issues you'd expect from an indie dev, and the translation to English is mediocre but I liked it. I will probably replay it again at least once. If you like old horror games, give this a try. Also, I enjoyed the Krycek reference. Most people who reference that show just use the poster, or maybe a still from the opening title. Plus he's my favorite character in the show. Good job, I'm buying the prequel as soon as I'm done posting this review.

This game has given me such a quandary. I really enjoyed a lot of the gameplay, the weapons, the enemy design variety, most of the puzzles. I liked playing as different characters too and seeing how their parallel stories intertwined.
However, this game has SO much that is a straight copy of Re2 and RE3 remakes. Valves, bolt cutters, locker combinations, even inventory management. So the game needed a good story to balance the review into the net positive.
And the story was great. In the end cut scenes and archived documents, but was poorly threaded throughout the gameplay. Great story, poor narration.

If you like the look of this game, just play resident evil instead. If you love RE already, this game is likely to disappoint.

On a side note, as someone with a laptop set up and migraine related visual disturbance, I found the choice of Font in the PDA, Storage units and documents very hard to read and highly inaccessible.
