Description
5th What if Rommel won El alamein scenario:See Battle of Iraq Mosul,D Day Cadiz, Kursk Winter '44, maps for other detail. After Rommel took the Suez in late'42 Franco was emboldened and joined the axis,handing Mussolini his Mediterranean Lake with Spain taking Gibraltar.Stalin had a new front in Persia/Iraq. Allies landed in Morroco in '43;new desert campaign through Algeria to Tunisia. June '45,allies land in Cadiz in an attempt on Gibraltar and Spain. Germany/Italy/Spain also launch a preparation seaborne invasion of Tunisia,beyond the allied frontline approaching Libya.Landings at Sousse and Monastir meet light resistance.Axis objective is Kairouan; the centre of allied operations in North Africa.Battle was joined in the heat of day on the east road to Kairouan.Fresh allied reinforcements arrived too late for the battle.Likewise Axis forces from the Tunisian/Libyan front were delayed.The battle was inconclusive.A second engagement began at night, both sides intent upon the vital road.Team 1 Allied,Team 2 German. @Layndarat found a fix for this problem, right when you launch the map you need to pause your game, alt tab out and into the game and unpause, this fixes it somehow, I had this problem more often with large COH2 maps

@Potat [Maerecque] That's a new one, mate. I've never seen that happen before. It is always a good idea to restart COH2 between matches as well, that might help you as well as looking at your game settings. Otherwise, the issue is likely with the mod(s) you are using as many (including myself) have played this map successfully to the bitter end...

Everytime I start this map it just feezes, i can select units and order them to do stuff but they won't move or do anything

@Tallestdavid Lol. What I would really like is for the units not to show up on the mini map at all, that would be a good night time battle experience. As for not enough light, try the 'Tunisia Desert Battle of Kairouan' map. It is the day version. I already guess what your comment would be for that one... ;)

@JIMMIS. You can play in skirmish mode and set the other players to be AI. In play throughs I have been party to, the map and its daytime sibling, have been stable to the end with ppl vs 4AI. That is an achievement on a large map. Up to you how many AI your side and the enemy side that you want to set. Have fun. :steamhappy:
