Death Info

Description
Sends a Mail to the owner of a destroyed Ship or Station containing the details of their death. This mod was made with Alliances in mind! All members of the Alliance will receive the message.

Future
Future plans include:
  • Make who in the Alliance receives the Mail dependent on their Permissions for that Alliance.

  • Add config UI in-game so players can choose whether to unsubscribe from such Mails in the future and/or add this functionality through a regular "Write Mail" interaction so it feels more immersive.

  • Have a humorous version where, if the player killed themselves on an asteroid, the text is far less professional and a little mocking.

  • Make the Sector denotation text in the Mail a clickable link. Not sure if possible, but would be very cool if it is.

Known Issues
  • [2.0 BETA] Ships destroyed by dropping out of a Captain Operation ("Your Ship x is under attack!") generate an empty mail with no sender, no subject, and no body text. Still unsure as to why. Investigating...
