Descripción
A custom turret blueprint that comes with a base, loaded ammo and programmed script to be fully AI controlled.

Uses OKI Observation Unit to aim and requires Whip`s Turret Slaving AI to operate.

This turret uses a large array of vanilla fixed gatlings to provide anti-fighter and anti-custom-missile protection for a ship.

hmm, ok, it seems they are able to be selected and added to the groups. and the script finds them. its just the 'highlighted or clicked effect that was not working for me when selecting them. prolly just me and my setup.

I am having an issue with the script finding the designator for each group. i have one of each of these on a test ship. the script finds three turret groups. but says 'Partiot Group 1 > error 1: No designators found. the OKI designator in the group is named "Partiot TG1 OKI Designator Large Observation Unit 2". i went and checked the groups. i cannot select the Observation unit to add to the group. I can select it by itself, but not when i have the group selected first to add it. I will tinker some more. Ideas though?

Thanks. I appreciate the detailed response. I will try that today. Fantastic job on the mods and weapons.

You can use any existing vanilla or modded turret as designator. OKI observer is just for weapons that have ranges above 800 meters.

I would recommend pasting the custom turret in space as is, cutting out the designator it has and renaming the group each time you want to place it on the ship to avoid them becoming a single group. Cutting out programmable block and timer from each subsequent turret is also adviced (or even better - removing these vital organs from turret and placing them on the ship). Only one PB is needed to control all the turrets on ship.

Each turret should form a group with its own elevation and azinuth rotor, its weapons and any designator you want to use. If you want multiple turrets using the same designator - just add that one to each individual turret group.

ok, fantastic setup. i am wondering though. if i have several of your turrets on a ship, what steps are needed to setup each to work together? maybe i am not understanding the instructions enough.
