HBV - 211 (Main Battle Tank) no mods

Description
Hello fellow engineers, I’m here to present you the HBV – 211. A main battle tank representing my best approach to replicate the M1 Abrams, of course with some personal touches. This build does not use any mod or DLC.

The tank weights 70.948 KG, with a top speed of about 72 km/h (20 m/s) on plain off-road surfaces. Its hull is composed of heavy armor blocks entirely and it’s powered by two hydrogen engines and a small battery to help with auxiliary power for other features of the tank. The “tracks” are made of multiple 1x1 wheel suspensions to give it the track-ish look.

The main armament is a rocket launcher placed on a cannon attached to a rotor placed on the turret. The turret itself is also attached to a rotor that is mounted on the hull. The cannon protects the launcher with a layer of heavy half-block armor and has a camera that allows to aim exactly on the direction where the launcher aims, ammo feeding to the launcher must be done manually from the front. The secondary armament is a gatling turret mounted on the top of the turret.

The turret is operated by a remote-control block placed on the cannon attached to it, which in combination with a gyroscope allows for X and Y axis aiming. The additional features of the turret are a spotlight, an antenna, a small cargo container connected to the gatling turret (to allow manually feeding ammo to it, or for storage) and two decoys with the purpose of deviating automated turrets fire from critical points of the tank for a time.

It features two cockpits, one for the driver and the other for the turret operator (gunner). Also, in order to service the fuel a connector linked to the engines has been placed on the belly for this purpose. In order to get in the cockpits, for the driver a small slot is placed on the front, and to get inside the gunner cockpit a slot has been placed on the left side of the tank.

In terms of handling I have to say that it’s slow, specially going uphill, where sometimes you must tap left and right while pushing forwards in order to keep going (don’t know why this happens). Off-roading in general is good (is a tank after all), although trying to go up the ramp blocks (the standard ones and the two-pieced ones) the hull collides with them and can’t go trough them. This does not happen (as far as I know) when off-roading, it goes up and down hill perfectly.

The preset controls I placed are controlling the remote (turret control), switch lock on the connector, control the gatling turret, switch on/off the spotlight, switch on/off separately the front and rear lights and rotor locks on/off for the cannon and the turret to avoid wiggling when moving.

I tried my best to make it both functional as well as good-looking, I hope you enjoy it the way you like, whether that be battling against other people with it, roleplaying, using it as scenario prop or whatever your imagination dictates.

Have fun!
