Myrdek's solution should have worked (though you probably want to replace 14-20 with 22 as well)

Yes, I totally agree with you. It should be really boring to do so and 98% of the people who play Civ 5 should be satisfied with it.

I was just asking because the text is small to me and already tried the solution from Myrdek (at http://forums.civfanatics.com) and it didn't work. =(

Solution from Myrdek:

"1- Open your Civ V installation directory

2- Open assets\UI\Fonts\Tw Cent MT

3- Make a backup of the files in this directory

4- Make a copy of the file that represent the size you want to have and rename it to replace the small size
ex: Make a copy of TwCenMT22 and rename it TwCenMT16 (replacing it)"

I will search about how to make your suggestion. But since I don't have any experience modding, not sure how far I will be able to go with it. ^^

Thanks for replying and helping!

Keep up the good work!

@Bullfrog: No plans. Such a mod would be incompatible with many other mods, and the interest level for this mod seems rather low, and the actual work of making it is pretty tedious. It's a worthy endeavor, but I fear by the time I run out of the other projects I'm working on, Beyond Earth will be out and I'll get drawn into that. :-/

You could just go through all of the game's XML files that reference Font="TwCenMT??" and increase the number (this mod uses TwCenMT22; the ones available are 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, and 24), but you'd probably run into a fair amount of text overlaps that'll need some tweaking.

Hello Nutzzz, great mod!

Do you have any plan to make a mod which could make possible to increase the font size for the entire game?

Ah! Deleting the cache folder worked. Thanks again and poor eyesight unite!
Nutzzz  [author] 10 Jun, 2014 @ 10:14pm
Sorry if it's a basic question, but... did you activate the mod through the mods menu, then hit next and load or start a new game? If you did that correctly, you might need to clear your cache. Here's a checklist [forums.civfanatics.com] of general troubleshooting steps.

Thanks for the response! Am I missing something? I subscribed and yet the civlopedia is unchanged..

Works for me. :-)

Is this still functional?

Seem a great idea. I'll definetaly give it a try. Civ V tend's to be a bit hard on the eyes on high-res screens, so I think this will be very useful to some of us.
