Description
SBS (SeaBoss Systems) ORCA Mk.II VERSA (Updated for v1.0)

(FINAL VERSION FROM CREATOR - LEFT GAME)
**** At this time I've come to the conclusion I'm done. I bought the Space DLC despite my better judgement and have come to the conclusion it's a burning dumpster. The updates that were applied in support of it have made the game unplayable. The amount of fixes that will be required to fix previously working creations will be enormous... and even at that it is hard to consider that they may be final. I've made the final decision to leave the game for good. If someone wants to take over and repost any of my creations please feel free to do so. Good bye and good luck.

Override Code: 5468

The newest version of the ORCA Multipurpose Rescue Boat Family. Still small enough to spawn in a Beginner's boat house. The VERSA Model is the premier "Swiss Army Knife" of the ORCA Mk.II family. Seating for 7, bunks for 2 and a fully appointed galley. Equipped with LIDAR, Laser Beacon Search, Weather Station, Search Lights, Dual Flare Launchers, SONAR, Sensor Pod with Laser Distancer, Dive Access, Crane, Tow Winch, Fuel Winch, Fire Fighting System, Port and SB Grapples, Pitch and Roll Stabilizers, 32 Waypoint AP (Single Point, Route or Beacon follow modes) with Touch Map Input or Manual GPS Entry. Also includes automatic Flood Detection Sealing Interior doors (with individual KeyPad Overrides).

V1.0 ADDS:
- Updated to include new Handhold Tools and Ropes/Hoses/Cables introduced in V1.0
- Add two FIRE HOSE ATTACHMENT with large pumps to the PORT and SB Rear sections. Plug in a hose, turn on the pump with the toggle button and it can be used as a FIRE HOSE

Much credit to numerous other authors who have provided MICROCONTROLLERS (ex. GLASS DISPLAY, COMPASS BAND, Moveable Map) and other features (ex. LIDAR) . I altered a few to have some additional functionality and/or change the colour scheme to match the ship theme.

The ORCA Mk.II has been updated to be DIESEL for main drives (using two large engines) instead of a DIESEL ELECTRIC Hybrid. There is still a Maneuvering Drive that is Electric but main propulsion is now direct DIESEL. Top sustained Speed is 47 knots with a range over 250km. Reverse is available using the Maneuvering Drives which are designed for taxing on pivot mounts (use controls in centre upper panel between PILOT and ENGINEERS station).

The ORCA is capable of Tanker towing missions and can pull a Tanker at a speed of 12 knots at full throttle.

There are three modes of AutoPilot availabe: SINGLE, ROUTE and BEACON.
- SINGLE will point the ship to the current WP defined in the AP.NAV Selection Window in the front of the pilot.
- ROUTE will continue to move from WP to WP in sequence until the last WP that has been defined has been reached
- BEACON when activated will turn the ship so that it keeps the SENSOR POD always pointing at a detected laser beacon. If you want to drive to the beacon just turn the pod so it is facing the front and manually steer in the relative direction of the last hit. As soon as it picks up the beacon again the ship will take over again and steer towards it. To use BEACON AP MODE: Switch to CAM Mode at the SENSOR Station and click the "L.BEAC" box on the monitor to turn on BEACON Search Mode, detect the BEACON, switch to the Pilot's station and you should now see a BEACON DETECTED Indicator lit. Select BEACON in the AP.NAV Mode 1x1 Monitor and click on AP Start button.

Waypoints are editable using the navigation panels to the left of the pilot. It is possible to add and edit waypoints even when the AP is active since there are two separate channels (READ and EDIT) which interface with the memory that holds 32 possible points. When the AP is active it uses the WP Number definied in the AP.NAV selection window (1x1 Monitor) just to the front of the pilot. When editing it uses the WP Number defined in the WP MAP and EDIT Panels (2x2 Monitors) to the left of the pilot.

Thanks, Sprisa. Please feel free to fork it out. I'd be interested to see what you've done :)

Hey! I saw that you haven't update this vehicle in 2 years, can I fork it as I've already added quite a few feature onto it. I probably won't publish it onto workshop but share with a few friends.

Anyways, this boat is amazing!

Thanks for the comment Pick Yer Poison. :) I changed the door setup for the washroom to be the Manual version and that seemed to fix the issue. I also implemented the same change on the VERSA RUNABOUT as well.

Okay, I put a few hours towards figuring out why the washroom is flooding. The short answer is that it's haunted.

The long answer is that it's the electric door, somehow. Whenever that electric door is open, the boat considers the space inside to be part of the outside. If you replace it with a sliding door (or even just delete the door period!) the issue goes away. But if you use the electric door (even if you replace it with a new one), the washroom will flood to sea level. The room isn't flooded until the door is open, and if you close the door, the water can be pumped out.

I'm sorry. It's ghosts.

Hi declanz APU stands for Auxillary Power Unit. It's an engine that drives a generator to produce nothing but electricity, ie. It's not used for propulsion.

What does 'APU' do?

I know this ship is "old", but I still use this ship very frequently because its so well balanced as a vehicle
