Omschrijving
The "RiverCat" is a class of catamaran operated by Sydney Ferries, running services up the Parramatta River. There are 7 RiverCats, each named after Australian women athletes. They replaced the First Fleet class ferries on the river services in the early 90s.

This is a recreation of the Rivercat, although the vessels differ slightly from each other. It's a very lightweight model, did a lot of texture packing here. These are very low-to-the-water ships. I will try to work on custom wharves in the style of those along Parramatta River to accompany them. :)

If you like it but wish it was a little less.. "Sydney"ish, I've published a line-colour version separately without the ship name and references to Sydney, Sydney Ferries, etc.

https://cslmodding.info/asset/vehicle/#illumination train and ship shaders have different rules for illumination. that's an easy fix if you tweak the _i a bit

Not even that is working atp :( https://imgur.com/a/8os5wTW (idk why its mature)
I guess I'll give this up, not sure what other avenue I can go down now and Idk how to fix this lighting issue :/ thanks for the help tho!

i.e. template it off the default ferry instead.

well, if all else fails, you can switch the shader back to being a ship and just live with it looking soggy.

Hm yeah I tríed that now (in different combos, once without rerunning it, once with, once with script 1+2, and once with script 1+2 and rerun) and sadly It doesn't work in any of them. :/

okay, maybe you need to create it, save it, close, load it, run the script, save it again? I can't remember when the vertex paint is applied. i.e. maybe it is only applied when you first save it. the game applies vertex colours to identify wheels, all that script is doing is run through every vertex in the mesh and assign a non-wheel colour. if it isn't working that means the colour is getting re-applied after the script runs. I don't remember.. :(

Sadly the Issue is still happening, even after trying a combination of script 1 and 2 and some other tries with old scripts :/ https://imgur.com/ZaG3JHs

Thank you so much! I heard from BlackThunder that a train shader was involved, but he missed the script. Finally can cross this off my list then! :)

haha, yes. the default ship shader made the whole thing look wet and dark, I set it to the train shader. This means any connected vertices near the "ground" are wheels. to fix this, when you set it up in asset editor, you need to run a script in modtools. I have uploaded my reference doc here, I think only step 2 is relevant. Good luck! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ygZYFrgWIJpAX3BOynk1oUZ09MWzhU8U/view?usp=sharing
