POLARIS SPACE INDUSTRIES PM-18b "Näkki" utility ship.

The Näkki variant is a Sampo mining vessel refitted for warp travel. Minor alterations provide a landing pad for 1 escort fighter, 2 passenger seats and a repurposed docking spine to attach light HV's to the belly for transport to mining areas.

Also used as a scout CV or lifeboat due to its unbelievably low cost and thus minimizing material loss in hazardous areas. However, it is not called the Näkki for nothing. Pilots should not be seduced by the siren call of 'minimal financial loss' while braving the risk of warping to hazardous rewards due to the complete lack of safety features of any kind. Entry into Heavy Gravity worlds untested and not recommended.

Recommend carrying critical spare parts (core, adv constructor, warp drive, generator).

Update:

Warp Drive enclosed. Some void space remains for extra fuel or downward thrusters.

56k Harvester capacity + 2 x 16k storage boxes. Replace 56k Container Controller to Harvester when researched.

Food Processor, Fridge, Medbay and Adv Constructor installed.

Ammo Box under cabin replaced with Ammo Controller.

Relocated numerous components.

Place for CV drill unit under chin or on arms if deco removed. Have tested with 4 drills in arm mounted over/under configuration. 2 on one side works better.
