[WotC] Tank Mod

Descripción
-- Full credit for mod goes to Coyotekins (Fireborn) --

FEATURES

This mod adds in both enemy ADVENT and player controlled tanks.

You can purchase player controlled tanks in the proving grounds for 500 supplies, 100 alloys and 4 elerium cores. These values can all be configured in Xcomgamedata.ini including the ability to require having parts of ADVENT tanks before you can build one yourself.

The tanks have the following abilities:

Rank
Ability
Ability
Squaddie
Ram
Corporal
Demolition
Concentrated Fire
Sergeant
Roll Out
Vented Flamethrower
Lieutenant
Shutdown Overdrive
Death Spiral
Captain
Saturation Fire
Tank Shield System
Major
Coolant Flush
Spiked Ram
Colonel
Additional Heats
Damage Control

Enemy ADVENT tanks will start appearing at force level 19 and start stronger than the baseline player controlled tanks. These, while though, are incredibly fun late game units to beat!

CONFIGURATION

If you do not want to see any enemy tanks go to this mods config folder, find Xcomencounterlists.ini, and comment out the +SpawnDistributionLists entry.

If you want to configure the cost of player tanks you can edit the values in Xcomgamedata.ini located in this mods config folder.

If you want to configure the stats of either the player or ADVENT controlled tanks you can edit the values in Xcomgamedata_charachterstats.ini located in this mods config folder.

Feel free to post any settings you find particularly balanced or fun!

COMPATIBILITY AND KNOWN ISSUES

Due to this mod making armory camera tweaks to allow the tank to fit the armory screen, [WotC] Armory Camera Tweak is not compatible.

The issue about the camera is known. If you want to remove the changes done to the camera by this mod, you can remove the files located in the content folder, titled with 3DUIBP_. This will hurt your ability to use the tanks properly in these screens, but will help if you have problems seeing your characters.

ALTERNATE DOWNLOAD

You can also find this mod over at the nexus here[www.nexusmods.com]. Regardless of where you decide to download, make sure to go over to the nexus to give Coyotekins (Fireborn) kudos for creating this mod and any feedback you may have!

@Dimyell did you even read the workshop page before commenting? "If you do not want to see any enemy tanks go to this mods config folder, find Xcomencounterlists.ini, and comment out the +SpawnDistributionLists entry." and "If you want to configure the stats of either the player or ADVENT controlled tanks you can edit the values in Xcomgamedata_charachterstats.ini located in this mods config folder." are literally right there in the description

Cool concept, feels really bad in practice.

Tank is pretty damn op on one hand, but on the other hand you can get enemy tank spawns, except the enemy tank is max level with double the armor, health, turns and damage. Watched my level 2 tank get one shot by another tank that spawned nearby.

Enemy tank spawns also makes it harder to find enemies that actually drop corpses and items, and they are very uninterative to fight. This mod would be cool with a setting to turn off enemy tank spawns.

the issue with this mod is that the tank is insanely op and you have to change the stats right off the bat to avoid getting steam rolled i just fought two of these tanks back to back and got rolled of the main attack doing insane damage awhile doing like 8 hits in one action

@Baanth I don't personally use this mod, but you could edit its stats in the ini files if you don't find a way to reduce it's frequency. I've edited a lot of ini configurations in my time, but I have no idea how to edit spawn frequency.

Also can you make a Brigadier rank for if you have the mod that adds that

What is the code line for this mod?
Baanth 19 MAY a las 2:05
Is there anyway to reduce the frequency of tank spawns? I am getting an enemy tank every single mission, which is overwhelming with my mod set. I'll just edit it out if not but I like the risk of a rare chance to see one
