(RTP) (Gameplay) Spirit Ideology

Description
SPIRIT IDEOLOGY
Spirit is a new Ideology. It can only be chosen after you have already adopted one of the three main Ideologies. With Spirit, you are able to retain any Ideological Tenets you had previously taken whilst also unlocking a set of new Ideological Tenets. The more Tenets you have from your previous Ideology, however, the less space you have for Spirit-based Tenets.*

You can adopt Spirit through the 'Reform Ideology' button in the Ideological Tenets panel in the Social Policy Screen (see the first screenshot above).

*Without the Community Patch, you receive free Ideological Tenets instead.

PATCHNOTES
  • v2
  • Renamed Developmentalism to Patriotic Economics and swapped in Level with Moral Education.
  • Added missing policy flavours.
  • Added support for Neutrality Ideology.

I think Arendelle's (4) Ideology Trees, which is made by @Lord Arendelle has a Reactionary ideology which deals with monarchism. But I'm afraid it will not be compatible with JFD's Rise to Power.

To clarify, Spirit has something to deal with the post-ideology that has spanned after the Cold War, albeit with the political and economic reforms taken place. Neutrality is mostly those for countries that have declared independence from a colonial power and also mostly for those countries who would not align themselves with neither the West nor East.

When will there be an ideology based on Monarchism or Socialism? Freedom represents Capitalist Democracy, Order is Communism, Autocracy is Fascism, Spirit is Theocracy, and Neutrality is just Non-Aligned or classical forms of government.

Having trouble running this mod with the additional policy trees mod. Icons on the three policy trees don't show when I also have this mod enabled. It could be another one of the mods I'm using, but I have no trouble with the policy trees when Spirit Ideology isn't enabled.

So Spirit influence is the same as order??

I plan on keeping the Neutrality and Spirit Ideologies separate (but compatible) because its reasonable that someone might not want both. Spirit and Neutrality don't operate as simply 'additional ideologies' like the additional policy branches in that mod (Conservation, etc.) since they have special conditions to adopting them. Hence, they can be easily kept separate.

Idk where you get this idea that Spirit is associated with Order and Neutrality with Autocracy - you can reform any ideology into Spirit and Neutrality will be available as your first Ideology choice after the other Ideologies have been founded (i.e. not 'reformed into').

The next ideology mod that is currently in development might be Neutrality. It might be associated with Autocracy which can be reformed to.

For Spirit, it is associated with Order. And for Freedom, it is currently unknown whether it might be reformed to...

Since the Neutrality ideology is coming soon, it is not sure if it have to be merged with the Spirit Ideology mod that it will be known as the 'Additional Ideologies mod'

@JFD

I cant end my turn, i think because there are two more ideological tenets. plz fix!

@JFD

That might be the 'Sovereignty' submod of the Rise to Power, since I haven't played this one a few years ago initially, which will be included. It adds the concepts of 'Government', 'Legitimacies', and 'Legislature'. Meanwhile, the Versailles wonder has to be excluded since it is already in the Pouakai's Enlightenment Era mod.

Not an ideology but a Government yeah
random scav 22 Jul, 2019 @ 3:19pm
@JFD I wonder if you're going to add an ideology based on oligarchy/rule by the few/aristocracy. It would be interesting to see an ideology that is capitalistic like Freedom, albeit without the democratic elements.
