Pincoy Class Frigate

The Pincoy Class Frigate is one of the first designs by Black Ocean Shipyards and is a medium sized frigate designed for two to four crew to engage in long range exploration or long patrols away from base in comfort on an affordable and easy to manufacture platform. While the ship is fully hydrogen powered it has enough onboard storage and additional H2 generators to support long range patrols comfortably especially if cargo space is dedicated to ice. It sports 7 Gatling turrets, 2 missile turrets and several interior turrets for point defense and repulsion of boarders. On board it also sports twin basic refinery’s and twin fully upgraded assemblers for field recovery of materials and repairs. All major systems are covered by a strip of heavy armor for protection though the majority of the ship relies on its multiple layers of light armor and compartments for protection of vital equipment.

While the ship does feature a proper bridge, it has a buried command center protected by heavy armor when called to battle. The ship is designed to be fully compliant with galactic vanilla regulations, though can be easily retrofitted with multiple weapons, shield or armor upgrades from unregulated sources quite easily. The ship boasts only a moderate speed though is highly responsive due to lack of weight from secondary propulsion systems. it is also designed so that it can land on high G worlds with ease. As part of its design it boasts a small hangar for either a small landing craft, rover or resource collection ship (sold separately).
