Battle for Iraq: Mosul Lite

Description
Spring 1943 WHAT IF SCENARIO: After Rommel's victory at El Alamein German panzers rolled across the Suez through Egypt, Palestine, Trans-Jordan and Syria. Iraq faces another coup. Commonwealth and US Forces regroup and stage from Kuwait, USSR occupies Persia, rooting out German infiltration. Franco joins the Axis and the Med is Mussolini's lake. Dusty Mosul is the pivotal battle for control of the oilfields and a new front for the USSR. The fall of Egypt presents an Axis threat to the Red Sea and beyond. The fall of Iraq threatens the Persian Gulf. Team 1 Soviet/Allied as indicated by the flags. This is the Lite version of this map without on map factional weapons for pickup. Team 2 German per the flags on the map. Note limitations of world building include not having mosques and too many chimneys, apologies for that. I tried for a Middle Eastern feel. Hope you enjoy

G'day Tuncay26, haha very pleased that you like it! I'm not so fond of choke point maps but making the city area, this whole map really was a lot of fun. Would recommend you to D Day Cadiz if you like this one, although it doesn't have a river you can choke easily, it does have a large urban setting that makes an interesting fracas...

@Caprica Glad you like it. I'm sure parts of Mosul would have been beautiful. A river going through a city with ancient or very old buildings nearby... lovely for sure :steamhappy:

Thanks again for this Layndarat. Any other 'lite' versions of your maps would also be appreciated, if you have the time. Keep up the good work.
