Description
This add-on makes the Tank Music RNG!
This means that one of 4 different songs will be selected at random to be played for the tank theme, whenever a tank spawns.

This mod features 4 different songs, all trimmed and edited to loop perfectly and seamlessly.

Song list:
Deuce - Nightmare
The Enigma TNG - Wars of Power
The Enigma TNG - The Glass Alice
Undead Corporation - Everything will freeze

Important notice:
This will conflict with concert mods (Add-ons replacing the songs of Dark Carnival's finale).
However, you can still use this mod alongside any concert sound mods by doing the following:
- Subscribe to the concert mod before subscribing to this mod.
- Disable (uncheck) the Admin System Mod if you are subscribed to it (as it causes default tank themes to overlap with concert tank themes).
That's it! If you make sure the concert music mod is above this mod in the add-on list, it will prioritize the concert sound mod over this one on the finale map.

@mav - The jukebox has a limited amount of songs that can be used, and if you want to add more than the normal amount you'd have to make a custom script for a new jukebox with different properties to use in a newly made map, since a part of the jukebox' code to pick the songs and play them is basically hardcoded in the maps.

i know it sounds weird but i just see it as a possibility to add more tracks to the game?

@ ⓀⒾⓃⒼ - Since it’s a script, it can only work in singleplayer/local servers, so on Official it either won’t work at all or play the same song every time.

idk if u still look at these or care about these addons but for me it doesnt seem to work for some reason, as in doesnt play any music at all, with or without admin system, but when i try to use it in a test map, a song plays but its the same one every time. The only other sound mod that could interfere is a credits song replacer. Any and all help would be appreciated. :steamthumbsup:

How would I be able to take the rng script for my own personal use for my own songs? I used a looped part of one of my songs and it says its missing

oh, and this could also theoretically mean that you could steal this guy's script and replace the music files with your own songs, name em the same, and they'd also be rng. just don't publish it to workshop. i might do it for personal use, but don't take this guy's credit

@Hicks I just extracted the addon... the files remain the same:

midnighttank.wav
onebadtank.wav
taank.wav
tank.wav

So yeah, it's definitely script.
Further proof?
Well, also inside the addon is a folder called "Maps," and in this folder are a bunch of text files, names all likened to: "c10m1_caves_level_sounds" for each map.

I think it's a pretty good guess that yeah, there's a line of code in there that pulls a random song every time a big boi appears.

As for if it works in multiplayer, probably not. it edits the game's lua do pick a rando song.
The songs will still be replaced in multiplayer, but you'll get the same song for a normal tank spawn every time. that's because the song files are replaced, but there's no script randomizing them.
