Description:

Barges are typically used for the mining of asteroids or salvaging of wrecks using R-Miner or R-Salvage turrets. These turrets require cargo space in the ship's hold to store ores and scrap metals, which can be refined at a Resource Depot into materials.

This design is made for Free Play with building knowledge unlocked from the start, and unlimited max. ship size enabled. It probably won't work in the "Normal" default scenario due to build restrictions.

Note 1: This ship comes with internal framework blocks that should be replaced as soon as you have resources and credits to do so. Here are some suggestions based on the framework's colour:

Brown: Cargo Bay (Titanium)
Green: Generator (Naonite) (Upgrade all existing Titanium Generators to Naonite as well.)
Purple: Hyperspace Core (Naonite)
Blue: Shield Generator (Naonite)

Turret Placement (February, 2022)

Due to a bug with Middle Block Snapping on sloped surfaces like Edge and Turret Edge Base blocks, specific Grid Spacing values are required on Local Snapping depending on the size of the hardpoint you are trying to mount certain size turrets to. Here is a table with the values I have used:

If any of my designs do not allow turret placement with the above Grid Spacing values on Local Snapping, please post a comment on the design's publication page as I may have forgot to update the turret edge blocks for some.

I mean that with downscaling, I was able to build it as 6 slot, which is naonite knowledge. So you dont need framework for naonite shield, you can already implement. Also I had trouble to fit some turrets on turret bases (mostly R-mining ones, as they are bigger), so I had to redo them (altough just copy-paste-upscale).

Otherwise ship looks really good, and I love it. Looks great, many turret slots, and great cargo. Ideal ship for mining operations!

re: Berkys 32 - Yeah, this is something I dread about the 2.0 update, which I have not done any design updates for yet. I'm still trying to figure out a suitable way to solve this problem.

I think this ship doesnt need some framework sections at all, bcs you cant build it much sooner than you have at least naonite
