MMBA

Description
You can now create more advanced missions without the need of scripting. It´s already been done for you. A mission maker where you place MMBA modules on the map, change it´s attributes and sync them together. All in the 3DEN editor.

This is made for people who wants to create missions in Arma 3´s Editor but don't have the knowledge of their scripting language.

First release, let's try find bugs together. If there is anything you want to be changed or added, write a comment in the feedback section.

  • Works for singleplayer and multiplayer.
  • No need for scripting.
  • Ingame tutorial.
  • Can work with content from other Addons.

Latest Patch 19 - 05 - 09
  • Multiple Choices Module (player can select between different options to activate other modules)
  • Intro Module (Intro for your mission. Display Mission name, author e.t.c.. at mission start.)
  • AI Module (spawn groups of ai, with different behavior. All groups in edens composition is available, including from addons)
  • A new side "PLAYER", the player who activated the previously module. With this you can give different missions to players.

IMPORTANT
To ensure security MMBA is only allowing the client functions to be used with remoteExec. Basically clients are only allowed to send certain client functions to the server and nothing else.
If you gonna use your own functions with remoteExec you need to override CfgRemoteExec. This is very easy to do, you just need to create a description.ext in your mission folder and add the example from the link below.

Tutorial
First time you open the editor you will see the tutorial window.
In the editor you can find the tutorials by clicking on Help, MMBA or the logo in the right corner.

The best way to learn is to download one of the examples. These will show you how MMBA works.

Short Example
Let´s say we want to create a mission where the units parachute into a town and have to kill 5 enemies.
We start by placing out the players. Then we place a Parachute module, sync the players to it. Deselect the mmba options on the module, so it will run at mission start. The final thing is to place a kill units module and enemies. We then sync the enemies and the parachute module to the kill units module.

The MMBA system is quite easy when you learn the basics of the eden editor and MMBA.
The ingame tutorial will help you understand the basics.


You are not allowed to monetize this on servers or reupload the mod anywhere else.

V Just saw the non active with arma anymore comment, could I possibly reupload a version and to make the changes so that it doesn't force whitelist.

Hey, would it be possible for you to upload a version of the mod without adding the whitelist function to the CfgRemoteExec? Loaded it on a mission and it messed up with another mod and wouldn't allow it to remote exec say3d and a custom script. Would be nice for people to have the option whether to make it secure on their server or to trust their people more, especially for smaller units.

The example missions do not exist anymore and the tutorial does not explain even how to get the conversation choices to wok (no matter what one would do, it will just hint [any,any]), so I guess this is a dead mod now?

Can you put back the black color of the modules because the player is useless except to hurt the eyes and the red and not very professional

First i would check is if the example mission works. Play it through. If it does not work properly it´s broken (This mod is 2 years old and i haven't played for awhile).
Unfortunately, i don´t think what you want will work. Radio is not something i added. And for triggers i can´t remember if it works. If i use triggers in the example mission, it should work.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I wasn't able to figure it out from the example mission or experimentation + Arma wiki and google. How would I go about activating a MMBA module/chain using a trigger? Say I wanted to activate a multiple choice menu when the player used Radio Alpha, or a BLUFOR player in a trigger area was detected by OPFOR?
