Extra Cargo Ships Variety Pack

Description
Seven new cargo ships which can spawn as NPC ships alongside the vanilla ones.

I tried to make each type unique, distinct in function and style both from vanilla ships and from each other.

Three ships are large (larger even than the Military Transporter), two are medium-sized (approximately Commercial-Freighter sized), and two are small (Private Sail sized).

Unlike vanilla ships, but like the ships spawned from mods like Atmospheric Encounters, these ships come with active programmable blocks pre-scripted to help them function as ships (see my script library for those scripts). It is thus recommended, though not necessary, to have ingame scripts enabled.

=============
SHIPS
=============

Construction Breaker:
Medium sized, construction-themed. Has welders, grinders, and a heavy load of components and construction tools. Lightly armed, but it has a trick up its sleeve.

--------------------------

Personal Racer:
A tiny but very fast ship with only the bare essentials for survival in deep space. Minimal armament.

--------------------------

Hydrogen Tanker:
Medium sized, and designed for carrying a crapload of hydrogen and not much else. Moderately armed, and useful as a direct capture, or salvaged for materials.

---------------------------

Mining Carrier:
A large mining-themed ship, boasting extensive cargo space and lots of ore processing capability. Heavily armed; dangerous to approach but a very valuable capture, either as your own carrier or for its huge quantity of parts. Carries ores and whatever those ores got refined into.

----------------------------

Luxury Liner:
A large cruise-ship type ship. Focusing mainly on visual design, but nonetheless highly functional, it does not have a large cargo capacity or other special feature, but it is useful as either salvage or a (very) flashy pleasure craft. Lightly armed, and a LOT more agile than it looks, even without the hydrogen boost. This ship is also the *only* cargo ship in the mod - or vanilla - capable of planetary landings and takeoffs, equipped with both sufficient takeoff thrust and re-entry parachutes.

-----------------------------

Torpedo:
A tiny little thing which barely classifies as a ship at all. Completely unarmed...at least in the traditional sense.

------------------------------

Military Carrier:
By far the largest of the seven, this is a heavily armored and very durable platform capable of ferrying multiple smaller ships inside its massive hangar, which runs the length of the ship. Very heavily armed, and very capable of fighting back. This ship has by far the most components if ground down, but could also serve as your own carrier. Carries military-style stuff - weapons, ammo, and some defensive-type components.

This is entirely unlisted (ie noone outside your server can see it)?

Then yes, provided:
1) It is never shared outside that environment
2) You do not claim credit for the mods, only your changes
3) People are made aware of your changes, so they do not report any issues they may cause to me
4) The changes are "legitimate gameplay/balance tweaks", not things like making them only harvestable by people who donate money or filling them with obscene language on signs

Hey Reika,
Can we have permission to upload a mod with some of your content for private use with an unlisted posting (i.e. for a server). We would want permission to tweak the ships for our custom scenario and factions. Also if this only applies to certain mods of yours could you please let us know?
Thanks,
Strike

This mod has been updated, fixing all the cargo load issues as well as upgrading the ships themselves.

Yes, but it still works in the game.

Are you still planning on updating this?

ok thanks for the reply

I know; the system for mods to add random loot to cargo ships does not work, and such a thing may not even be possible. If I cannot get it working, I will just add nonrandom (ie always the same) loot.

Hello the ships don’t seem to 5o have any loot in them?
