Description
---A Quick Warning---
Photosensitive seizure warning

A very small percentage of people may experience a seizure when exposed to certain visual images, including flashing lights or patterns that may appear in video games. This map contains vivid colors, which appear to "flash" when you drive quickly.

--The Main Description---

A Fully polished remake of my Rainbow Road map from 2009! It's back! And it's getting released 10 F*cking years later! This map is a time capsule, in a way. The map was totally based on an old video i released practically a decade ago. The map is what could be considered trash, Yes. but so was the original. This map was recreated as faithful as possible to the original, while adding in new features along the way.

TL:DR: It's a replica of a map from 10 years ago that was lost, but has new features!

Differences from this and the original in which it's based are

* Rails now fully enclose the track
* Road texture is full spectrum
* Planet(s) and Sun has new textures (and new functionality!)
* Music has been changed from SNES Rainbow Road to This one.
* Music Play/Stop buttons have been replaced with a new feature! (as described further on)
* Music Play/Stop is now a single Toggle button.
* Alongside the new button exists the "Rail" Toggle, which Toggles the rails Visible/Invisible.
* Vehicle Markers are now placed before the finish line
* Track is scaled up to create more room for general racing.
* This map is compiled properly.

General features of this map (including what's new)

* Rainbow Road style inspired by "Rainbow Road" From the "Mario Kart" Series
* Combine the SNES Rainbow Road with similarities with RR64
* Silly Space Environment

New features
* Planetoids (Similar to that of Spacebuild maps) which contain habitable ground within!
* Collapseable Rails (button on small planet, alongside NEW track toggle!) Have some extra challenge! Try not to fall off with the rails gone!
* Sun ground causes burn damage, be careful while on the Sun! (Now can be "Terraformed" with a switch near the edge of the sun, which will enable it to be used as true building ground!)
* New music that actually loops! (Along with a switch near spawn to switch it on/off if desired.)
* Ability to toggle Rails On/Off. The track can be toggled On/Off however, you need to find out how to activate the button which is disabled by default!

Important information

* The map will be found in the "Other" Category as "rainbowroad10ad"

* The map will be found under "Sandbox" as "gm_rainbowroad_classic_10th_anniversary"

* Also, I know I can do substantially better when designing roads as evidenced with my Rainbow Road Props. This map was completely based as a true-to-life, faithful remake of my first attempt of making a Rainbow Road map back in 2009, which was 10 years ago as of posting, hence the name "10th Anniversary Edition" name. The turns are sharp, and the inclines are extremely rough, nothing is "smoothed" Just as the original map was back in '09.

Other Information
There really aren't many Rainbow Road maps on Workshop, aside from the classic that was based on SMK's RR. It's been so many years, and I'm surprised there aren't already so many by now.

Also, the music may fail to loop on cue if the game isn't in the foreground. so, for example, you minimize the game, the game's "Timer" will pause, but the music will continue playing. It will continue playing once the timer "resets" since I went the "Logic_timer" route for looping. (The lazy way)

Music loops properly now by using proper loop cues, Doing this also enabled toggling via the button near spawn!

Using features, QnA Style

Q: How do I hide the rails?
A: Head to the small planet, there you'll find the control, the one marked with a star.

Q: Why can't I interact with the switch that hides the track?
A: It's disabled by default so most people can't just abuse it on multiplayer! If you figure out how to enable it, then you're worthy of having such power. Use responsibly as this feature CAN be removed anytime on request.

Q: How do I stop or restart the music?
A: Simple. Right where you spawn, you'll see a button with a music note on it. Press it. Press it again to restart the music!

Q: How can I build on the sun without taking damage?
A: There's a switch near the edge that's marked with "Gravel". Press that and the ground will transform into Rock.

Note: For both large planets, You can also toggle off the "platform" in the center by using the button marked like the platform at the edge of the two large planets to make the ground even flatter.

To Conclude
I made this map to acknowledge the fact that I've been playing this game for 10 years. Time sure flies.. wow....BUT for you new kids however, With the features of this map, Have fun! That's what counts the most!

If you rename the save it probably would work again.

Check in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\saves" You'll find them there.

I didn't know anyone actually used this map. I shortened it's name to get around the "Map not found" when attempting multiplayer due to the long name.

Since the map name changed, I can't load my save where I had a sweet roller coaster.

@Lefty Are you talking about that Goatse one I heard about? I haven't been on this game as much, but no way in hell would I add that. lmao

Apparently something called Glue Library, and Trollface Playermodel as you mentioned.

I only recently updated this map as I was just feeling nostalgic and was wondering why I was able to move the entire track with the Physgun. Another addon was the issue, but I still cleaned up a little more regardless.

Oh, I'm sorry, you probably don't understand what I'm talking about... The thing is, I played your map on June 2, and I had the trollface playermodel addon, and in it, as you know, the author added NSFL screamer there... I came across it on your map and thought you added it :D

Heh, it seems like the card is good, but after the warning, I turned it off and deleted :missing:

Is the theme song just the original but all the notes are flipped or did you make a remix, or just used another from another Mario Kart game?
