Diary. January 28.

Our attempt to ambush Russian vehicle convoy failed. The convoy never arrived. We're running low on supplies, and above all, ammunition and heavy weapons. But our man inside the Russian base has tipped us off.

Russian infantry platoon is conducting foot march exercise at dawn in full combat kit. We need those launchers and machine guns.

Weather is heavy snow, fog. Perfect.

We're going after superior numbers, but we have best ally any soldier can get.

Element of surprise.
