(Deprecated) RMS Ruby - Ocean Liner

Description
- Check out my new ship- the SS Canada! https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2439098592 -

*Unfortunately Ruby is too broken to rework at current. The game has changed so much that I would need to totally redo the engine room, and would rather spend time on a new project. If you wish to try and fix the engines yourself, please feel free to contact me! I do have newer and working vehicles uploaded!*

-----------------------

*Description*

RMS Ruby is a detailed ocean liner with 5 main decks.

Features include: Usable Lifeboats, a fully functional Bridge, weather systems, 10 passenger cabins, 6 crew cabins, an engine room with working bulkhead doors, and many passenger areas (a detailed Grand Staircase, Piano Lounge, Music Club, Restaurant, Cafe Vert, Reading Room, Medical Bay, and the Entrance Lobby). The ship is also fully lit up, and there are heaters for the arctic update- meaning you can use her anywhere on the game map.

The ship is inspired by the likes of RMS Queen Mary 2- (obviously smaller for SW) and operates as the flagship of Crown Cruises. It's a 90% complete work in progress, and any additions/updates I make will be mainly cosmetic. If you look in the update diary- you'll see many of these additions have already taken place.

You can sink RMS Ruby two main ways. Firstly- by opening the four exterior doors- two in the cargo hold- another two in the passenger lobby, and raising the wind/waves so she floods. Or secondly- by disabling the capsize prevention system in the engine room- and either wait for the capsize to happen as she moves, or speed it up by raising the waves and opening the doors like in method one or by using the tsunami tool (a la Poseidon Adventure style).

If you do try to capsize the ship- an alarm will sound automatically. If you wish to sink the ship manually, you can activate the alarm system by using the 'SOS key' in the bridge. You can also prevent the ship flooding when sinking by closing the bulkhead doors- controlled by a button in the bridge once you have used the SOS key. If you utilise the bulkhead system correctly, it is possible to sink the ship stern or bow first. As well as capisizing port or starboard.

The lifeboats are extremely simple to use. And are powered both by batteries on board RMS Ruby and by solar batteries on the boats themselves- this way- the charge will not run out. Each sits two players / NPCs. You can lower or raise them with the labelled buttons, and release them by disabling the magnets. You can also re-attach and raise the lifeboats after lowering if you want to use them to travel to islands/docks too small for RMS Ruby itself.

I hope you enjoy using the ship- if you have any issues just leave a comment! I spent a lot of time on this, especially on areas like the grand staircase. And it was my first time using advanced mode to build working funnels, and engines. Which also allowed me to use logic for the alarm system, and the spinning radar. I also had fun adding the moving flags. Once I've learnt how to use the clutch logic properly- I will add a reverser, and possibly more engines to up the speed on the ship so long as it doesn't make it too heavy. (As it is- Ruby already sits below the original waterline).

DO NOT under any circumstances, re-upload this ship or its lifeboats as your own without my explicit permission. If you edit the ship enough to make it your own project and agree to give proper credit, there's a chance I'll agree to let you anyway- so long as you ask first, there really is no excuse to do so without asking!

(This ship was made using part of one of MrWaffles Hull Templates: https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1639359552 )

i replaced the engines with 2 medium modular engines and replaced the (deprecated) gearboxes with new gearboxes and with the same ratio like the old ones. But still i reach only 6 knots. When I enabled infinity fuel i reach 11 knots
