well........ I really have no solution to that: the pits need walls and there is a pit in front of you last time i checked, so instant death, or minding your head? I chose minding your head :)

yeah it is actually pretty simple though, you fall in the pit a move group makes some lava rise, but it is kinda complex because i made 8 of them. and you can do this with everything, even enemies. to a degree anyway.
