Military Expanded

There are events (triggered by decisions) that allow the player to choose between various boosts at the expense of some negative modifiers. The aim is to allow the player to have an in-depth interaction with the military. There are unique, country specific choices available as well.

All the events have a "No effect" option for those who do not like the choices.
All the events can be reset at any time immediately. This means they can be used tactically when planning for various battles or wars.
These only apply to the player. (I may add them for the AI in the future.)


The choices are:

Organization
March >> +2.5% discipline & +5% morale & -15% movement speed & +10% attrition
Chaaaarge >> -2.5% discipline & -5% morale & +15% movement speed & -10% attrition
>> None

Looting
Encourage looting>> -5% infantry combat-ability & -5% cavalry combat-ability & +100% loot
Ban looting>> +5% infantry combat-ability & +5% cavalry combat-ability & -100% loot
>> None

Defense vs Offense
Defensive doctrine>> +15% defensiveness & -15% siege ability
Offensive doctrine>> -15% defensiveness & +15% siege ability
>> None

Artillery focus (only available after military tech 13)
Invest in artillery>> +10% artillery combat-ability & -20% artillery cost & +1 artillery fire & -15% shock damage
Ignore artillery>> -10% artillery combat-ability & +20% artillery cost & -1 artillery fire & +15% shock damage & +7.5% fire damage received
>> None

Cavalry focus
Invest in cavalry>> +10% cavalry combat-ability & +25% cavalry to infantry ratio & -20% cavalry cost & +33% cavalry flanking & -15% fire damage
Ignore cavalry>> -10% cavalry combat-ability & -33% cavalry to infantry ratio & +20% cavalry cost & -33% cavalry flanking & +15% fire damage & +7.5% shock damage received

Conscription (mutually exclussive with the 'ONLY MERCS' option)
More conscripts>> +25% manpower & +25% sailors & +2 national unrest
Less conscripts>> -25% manpower & -25% sailors & -1 national unrest & -0.02 war exhaustion
>> None

Army vs Navy (must have at least 5 ports)
Army focus>> +20% land force limit & -20% naval force limit
Navy focus>> -20% land force limit & +20% naval force limit
>> None

Religious morale (around one decade into the age of reformation, the year 1520)
Deus vult: God wills it>> +7.5% morale & +15% naval morale & -2 tolerance of heathens & -2 tolerance of heretics
Practice tolerance>> -7.5% morale & -15% naval morale & +2 tolerance of heathens & +2 tolerance of heretics
>> None

Standing army vs Mercenary army * (MAJOR: it costs to change and its cost is scaled with income)
Conscript focus>> -999% available merc & +5% discipline & 10% morale & +25% manpower & +33% manpower recovery speed & -0.5% army tradition decay & +33% drill modifier & +25% land maintenance & -50% merc discipline
Merc focus>> +999% available merc & -20% merc cost & -20% merc maintenance & -20% reinforcement cost & +60% merc discipline & -50% discipline & -25% morale & -999% manpower & +2 leaders & -999% drill modifier & +100% loot
>> None

*NOTE: The modifiers might seem strange, but the end result is a standing army (no mercs) with high morale (+5% disc & +10% morale) or a merc army (no conscripts) with high discipline (+10% merc disc** & -20% morale).
**(The merc discipline is 60%-50%=10%, but discipline of conscripts will be -50% so they are useless with the merc army choice.)

Country specific choices: (Event choices: the option below or 'None')
Prussia: (Stechmarsch) +5% discipline & -10% shock damage
France: (Vive la France) +10% land morale & -20% naval morale
Great Britain: (Rule Britannia) +10% heavy ship combat ability & -20% land force limit
Italy/Pope: (Svizzera Pontificia) +5% merc disc & +15% merc maintenance
Spain: (Conquistadores) +2 land leader movement & -1 leader shock & -1 leader fire
Russia: (Streletskoye voysko) +50% manpower recovery rate & +2 national unrest
Scandinavia: (Norden minns) +1 enemy attrition & -15% seige ability
Persia: (Alamut) +100% garrison size & -10% manpower
Mughals: (Gurkaniyan) -0.5 war exhuastion & -33% manpower recovery
Arabia: (Sayf al-Islam) +10% shock damage & -10% fire damage
Ottomans: (Yeniçeri) +10% fire damage & +10% shock damage received
PLC: (Husaria) +10% cavalry combat ability & -15% fire damage
Netherlands: (Handelaren) +20% ship trade power & -10% light ship combat ability
Japan: (Samurai) +10% infantry combat ability & +10% land maintenance
Manchu: (Manchurian Banners) +15% movement speed & +10% fire damage received
Korea: (Korean Army Reforms) -15% land maintenance & +20% fort maintenance
Ming: (Anti horde tactics) -15% shock damage received & +15% fire damage received
Austria: (Flaktürme) +15% defenssiveness & -50% garrison growth
Hindustan/Bharat: (Indian cannons) +10% artillery combat ability & +10% land maintenance
Nepal: (Himalayan tactics) -15% attrition & -15% defenssiveness
Golden Horde: (Golden trot) +10% cavalry combat ability & -10% movement speed


In the future, the parameters may get tweaked for balance purposes. Potentially new options can be added. New unique country specific options may be added.

1.29 MOD UPDATE :

I have reuploaded new (1.29) versions of (most) my mods. These had to be reploaded because I couldn't update the old ones due to the crappy new UI.

I have put links to the updated versions under the old mods' description.

Mercenary only shouldn't have the massive debuff to regulars' discipline because that value directly affects your Tactics value. Should just have a +10% discipline buff for mercenaries and call it fair.
