Description
This mod adds Krogans from the Mass Effect franchise to Xcom 2 in the form of customization options for male characters only.

FEATURES
Krogan Vanguard set divided in helmet, torso, legs and left-right arm slots for male characters only.
Krogan Warlord set divided in helmet, torso, legs and left-right arm/shoulder slots for male characters only.
Medium Krogan armour set divided in helmet, torso, legs and left-right arm/shoulder slots for male characters only.

Krogan Soldier set divided in torso, legs and left-right arm/shoulder slots for male characters only.
Heavy Krogan armour A(wrex) set divided in torso, legs and left-right arm/shoulder slots for male characters only.
Heavy Krogan armour B set divided in torso, legs and left-right arm/shoulder slots for male characters only.
Warlord Okeer armour set divided in torso, legs and left-right arm/shoulder slots for male characters only.

2 Striped version of the Krogan Vanguard set
2 striped version of the Krogan Warlord set
2 striped version of the Krogan Soldier set





Animated colourable Krogan face found in the helmet slot
1 Tattoo option of the Talon mercenaries.

Available for all 3 armour tiers and faction soldiers.



REQUIRED MODS
An invisible head mod is required you could use the one listed here or use one from kexx's mods for additional skin colours.


KNOWN ISSUES
There is some clipping due to their size but that's the way it is.

Please add tattoo's for the top and bottom portion of the krogans headplate, thank you good mod!:Filbo:

Do it, I'd support that. If it helps move the needle, you probably don't need to change much between male and female Krogan armors. I think the only real anatomical difference is that female Krogans are slightly smaller, but when you've got the equivalent of an organic battle-tank in full armor bearing down on you... you're probably not gonna check if its silhouette aligns more with male or female Krogan anatomy. xD

I am so tempted to redo this mod just so the integration with Allies Unknown is done..but that wouldn't be enough. Hell I would want to add female options for all of this as well as the female armor from ME3, and the Krogan armors from ME:Andromeda and ME1. Ugh Am I talking myself into doing a successor to this mod?

Hmm I wonder why the ini edits needed to use this with Allies Unknown Redux Krogans work for the most part with me except for the helmets. The vanguard show up but none of the others do. Since I don't think the mod author really knows since they never bothered to try to integrate it with Allies Unknown; could any of the other users let me know if they had problems with the helmets?

Is there any way to restrict this mod from adding the parts to freshly generated soldiers, because having people show up with krogan torsos looks weird and it happens way too often for me to random soldier appearances anymore.

I use Iridar's Clean Soldier Generation and somehow these armors still manage to show up on my random soldiers. Is there any reason for why that is or something I can do to fix that? :steamsad:

Conclusion:

The tweak described by Cylindryk does indeed work. Few things to note:

1. I was unable to restrict the customizations to the Krogans in allies unknown

2. I was able to get the assets from this mod to appear on the allies unknown Krogans

3. The parts don't sync up perfectly with each other.

In conclusion, while I'd love to add the extra mass effect alien cosmetics, it seems that the process to fuse allies unknown and this mod together would take more work than just a few ini tweaks.

If you want them to feel like they're one mod, where only the krogans have these parts instead of normal soldiers, and they can be perfectly mixed and matched... that takes more work.

If you just want to add these assets to allies unknown, that just takes an ini tweak to this mod.

You can totally play with both mods installed, but by default, they'll be separate.
