About the Update

This has been severely overdue. I loaded up the map a while back and told myself it could be so much better, it could look a lot more like Revelstoke. The majority of the map has been reworked, but what made this map Revelstoke to begin with, still is.

- No need for 81 tiles anymore
- Enhanced FPS with the new trees and removing lots of vanilla vegetation
- Dam moved back to increase buildable area (lots of buildable pockets added, also)
- Obviously, made it look nicer

The Revelstoke Dam

Provides you with roughly 225 MW of Electricity

When unlocking land nearby, you will experience a gush of water.

Please, do not hook up pipe to it

Please, do not try to alter it

The Region

This is my home, I have been very blessed to be able to walk these mountains and kayak these waters

Optimized for 25 Tile Play
Detailed at the 81 Tile Distance

Train Connections 2/4
Air Connections 2/4
Highway Connections 2/4
Ship Connections 1/4

Trees: I plopped 247,000. Yikes
Once you reach the limit, you will need to start deleting. I needed every single tree I placed

Visuals

Shadows do wonders to increase the forestry look

Theme: Ecania's Aguille Verte
LUT: Relight Cool
Dynamic Resolution
RENDER IT
Daylight Classic ON
Prop and Tree Anarchy ON
No Radioactive: I have the water ruined textures turned off, I paint my own coastlines
I am using common ground with everything rendered, it may look slightly different for you if you do not have this (this is not a big deal) I am burying pillars to use the ruined texture when needed.

Note from the Creator: Do whatever you like! If you want it brighter, make it brighter. Like to build in the morning? Lock the time to the morning.

Things I Want to tell You

My biggest enemy here was the tree count. You cannot take 7 steps without walking into a tree in the Pacific Northwest. Extremely difficult to create that 'full' feeling

The map is not an exact copy of the region, but it is a lot closer!

Thank you to all for helping me get 4 of my maps to the front page of all-time greats!

Did you use any LUTs while taking the screenshots?

I tried it. That game in its current state has no chance for something like this to be made. Maybe down the road

Will Cities Skylines II have a revelstoke map too? That'd be amazing

I ended up using a theme map by Captain Soap. RRealistic European. No snow but the combination of pavement, lighting and just overall appearance was realistic. Never the less, the Revelstoke map is unmatched respective for the level of detail. thanks again for the work you've put into this.

Is it working now?

I just added Theme Mixer 2 (1 1/2 hours ago) as an attempt to achieve the desired look. That was after my post/question. Prior to that it was not one of my mods.

Are you also using Theme Mixer 2.5?
That will override Aguile Verte

I love this map and have been building on it for a couple of months now. However, I can't seem to get any snow effect on the mountains (sand only) and I'm subscribed to Aiguille Verte Theme?
